Best Brunch!!!

Took family including children and grandchildren to Sunday brunch... The variety of food was astounding and ranged across multiple cuisines- everyone (including the 8 and 9 year old grandchildren) had much to eat they were familiar with and everyone tried a couple of things they were not; one of my... read more

Stopped in after a short hike to the falls. It is a small place. The hostess was friendly. They were serving a brunch buffet. It was very good especially the desserts.

My wife and I ate breakfast here. We each had omelets. Very good meal. The portions were large, the service excellent, prices reasonable for this area. And if you are bold to try Sally's homemade hot sauce, be aware: It has a real kick to it.

I would say that this place is likely to be a great choice for many people. But my family of six talked about this and we end up with two votes of "two stars" and three votes of "three stars", with the baby not voting. Here's the rub: we went for the Sunday brunch. The table of desserts is as... More

The breakfast was delish. Homemade bread and baked cinnamon rolls smelled wonderful. Plus and wonderful view of a nice little town. Staff is very friendly.

We come to Colorado once a year and whenever we can, we try to have the Sunday buffet here. The place is quaint and we love to chat with Sally, the owner. She is a delight and her bakery goods are to die for. The food is quite good and offers a good variety of selections. Save room for the... More

We actually visited Fat Cat Cafe twice during our stay. The first morning, which was a Thursday, we ordered breakfast off the menu and it was just okay. Wasn't the best breakfast ever, but did the trick. That morning we learned about their weekend brunch buffet and returned on Saturday morning. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS IF VISITING GRAND LAKE!... More

After a morning in Rocky Mountain National Park, we were ready for a late lunch, and the Fat Cat Cafe was just the ticket. We were warmly greeted, informed of the specials of the day, and heard about other interesting items on the menu. My husband and I both chose the quiche of the day (three cheeses, herbs, and Roma... Stopped in for breakfast on saturday which is their buffet day. It was different with local food items along with typical items. Overall the food is very good especially the desert bar which had numerous pies, cakes and paistries all homemade and all way too good. You can't help but stuff to much. Price was a little high but I... More

On a recent stay in Grand Lake, I was so looking forward to a great Saturday brunch at the Fat Cat Cafe after having read such glowing reviews. I have to say that I am quite mystified by the reviews claiming, "best brunch ever". Most of the food was either greasy, undercooked, or just "off". I was especially excited to... More
