Tough to say if I'm somewhat nostalgic on this one. We always have a great time and have come back here year in and year out for New Year's Eve dinner. Whole family enjoys the menu and they've kept it very consistent. Pricing doesn't change year after year and the menu is always a nice selection. Grand Lake doesn't have... More

Really charming rustic spot. Great service, good food. They were out of some things. like lemon for the water. Seemed like they would be well stocked for Saturday night, but the food was delicious.

After traveling for nearly 10 hours, we were in need of a good meal. The Backstreet Steakhouse did not disappoint. We arrived just before they were scheduled to close but accepted our group of 10 without any problems. Service was great as was the salad we had prior to the arrival of our entree. I seem to recall that most... More

Visited on a quiet evening for a special celebration dinner. Atmosphere very nice as always. Waitress had a great attitude. Special appetizer (chorizo-stuffed mushrooms) was fantastic, especially the sauce drizzled on top. Special dinner (meat loaf, believe it or not) was excellent (with another great sauce). But the elk medallions were a HUGE disappointment. We splurged at $34 for this... More

This place is a hidden gem. After finding the location, which was a little harder than I anticipated. It was well worth with. They do hands down serve the best steak in grand lake. Our steak dinner was so fantastic that we returned the following night for the Sunday special, Fried Chicken and let me tell you. It was awesome.... More

We made reservations for dinner with our family of 17. The table was ready on time and the service was excellent! Everyone commented about how good the food was. I read another comment about the Pork Chop dish being "deep fried". It's not. It is breaded then par-fried and baked. It was very delicious and moist. The steaks that others... More

We thought this would be better than what we experienced, for the price and reputation. It was a Saturday evening, and we waited almost 10 min to be seated, although there were no crowds at all. The outdoor patio was nice, but as the rain started, several leaks caused puddles on the floor. I ordered a filet, done medium -... More

We came here for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. First, I just want to say that the steak was quite good. It was supposed to come with a béarnaise sauce but whoever made it forgot to include the tarragon reduction so basically it was a decent hollandaise sauce. We were seated outside on the patio--which was nice. It... More

A few blocks off of the main drag you will find this nice little place a welcome respite from the bustle (if you can call it that) of the main drag. The fare is a little more expensive ($20 - $30 per person for a main entree) but worth it. We went on a Tuesday, which is shrimp night --... More

I had the most marvelous prime rib which is saying something since I like it medium rare (very difficult to do). The piece of meat they placed in front of me was exactly how I like it all through the slice (no raw, no well done) and fork tender. I haven't had prime rib like that in years and this... More
