We had a delightful lunch, on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park, at the historical Grand Lake Lodge. The Lodge is on a hill over looking 2 lakes--Grand Lake & Shadow Mountain Lake--with mountains on the other side of the lake. The porch has sliding glass windows to allow for comfortable dining & wonderful views in any season. On... More

Years ago I stayed here and it is beautiful yet rustic. It's only open May 15-October 18. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and the bug porch and the views. Don't miss it

The views from Grand Lake Lodge are superb and the Lodge itself is a treasure. Well worth a visit. We enjoyed our lunch there...the food was very good but the service was a little lacking. They restaurant wasn't that busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff, but it was still a little slow. Not bad and not enough... More

What can I say - the setting is superb - the view is fantastic - the food was reasonable and very tasty. The service was excellent. Had dinner and breakfast there - both were very good. Breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced - they even offer a senior discount.

Overall good but not great. Ordered trout dinner and use to getting the whole trout but instead only got 2 small pieces of the trout. Just ok! But, the French onion soup was great.

Having had breakfast and lunch this day we decided to go to the Grand Lake Lodge for salad and a glass of wine; more for the history of the place than the actual dining. The Lodge, established in 1920, is a registered National Historic Landmark. The lobby is an amazing piece of architecture in its own right. We sat on... More

This lodge is located right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. Old time cars sit outside of the restaurant which is very neat! From the veranda, you look out onto the lake. Truly beautiful. Inside the lodge is a fireplace with different types of seating around the fire. We chose to sit on the swing and could have sat there... More

Had the salmon salad and my husband had the Rueben (late lunch on the porch). Everything was very good. Thomas, our waiter was friendly, attentive and very sweet. We have been going here for 25 years and haven't had the time to go as often the last few years. Today, on a whim, took a drive and hike to see... More

Gorgeous views from the deck, beautiful lobby and right at the entrance to Rocky Mountain Natl. Park. Too bad they aren't open in winter for snowshoeing!

Hubby and I enjoyed the brunch at the lodge one day during our visit.. We had a nice window table with a pretty view of the lake.. The food was delicious, since this was a brunch we picked out our food from the buffet. I do have the say the service as far as drink started out good but went... More
