Not the type of high end restaurant I expected to fine in Grand Junction. The service was excellent the wine list, food and prices are more like you would find in Denver or New York. The presentation is very nice but the portions are very meager. We where there on a Saturday night and called late for a table, They... More

What a lovely experience my mom and I had dining at 626 on Rood. The service was superb! Cheese fries with truffle oil - holy Idaho potatoes when did you go high class?! They helped mom select a perfect wine for her, there were many gluten-free dining options and local flavor. The spinach salad was amazing. Such a hidden jewel... More

When traveling to Grand Junction and the surrounding area we always make time for a meal at 626 on Rood. Lunch on the patio under a umbrella is the best. They offer many items from local produce, such as the tasty chilled summer squash soup I had this time, accompanied by a spinach salad. That way I could save room... More

Service was excellent, but the food was not all that great. The food servings were attractive, but somewhat meager in portion. This was an anniversary occasion for which I'd rather chosen another restaurant. We thought it overrated and over priced. They seem to have a following of customers, but not us.

This is the second time we have dined (as opposed to "eaten") at this excellent restaurant. We had the crab appetizer, the duck salad and spinach salad, the steak and the squid ink pasta and all were superb. The wine list is impressive, with several selections of Colorado wine. The service is excellent - attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere... More

Stopped in for dinner with my honey today. I enjoy 626 because they offer cuisine as opposed to "food." It's refreshing to have a weeknight dinner out with a little class. The place was empty, since we were there at 4 pm. They offered to let us order from either the lunch or dinner menus, which was nice. The lunch... More

We just had one of the most pleasurable and relaxing dinners at 626 on Rood and just had to share!! We sat outside on the patio and didn't want to leave. We started the evening with two flights of wine. Willamette Damnit and Pink is In. A three glass sample of Oregon Pinot and Rose respectively. Chilled cream of Cauliflower... More

626 on Rood has been my favorite place to eat since they opened their doors. I appreciate that the owner is choosing to use local meat that is free from all the "junk" that most people are used to. Yes, the grass fed beef used for the burger is a different flavor but still delish! PS we went there with... More

A friend of mine and I used to frequent this place almost weekly. The Bacon Bloody Mary and the 626 burger were our favorites, and the BEST in town. I used to tell everyone that if they wanted a good burger to go here. Unfortunately, after my last visit, i probably wont go back :-(. They've recently changed the meat... More

We did change the beef we used for the 626 Burger. It use to be made with choice Black Angus ground beef. And even though it was high quality meat, it was still a commodity product, meaning it was from cattle raised anywhere from Iowa to Colorado, not hormone or anti-bioic free, and finished in feed lots. This is the... More

My fiancé and I are visiting GJ for a couple days and decided to try 626 due to the reviews. We enjoyed great service. The food flavors and presentation were excellent. The calamata olive bread was so good we purchased a loaf to go. We enjoyed their 'flight' of French wines and flourless chocolate mousse cake for dessert. We highly... More
