Second visit was much better

I had a pretty bad service experience here earlier this year, but wanted to go back after they got their "newly re-opened" kinks worked out. I had a great experience this time! Food was delivered fast, service was great, and we enjoyed ourselves. It was a yummy evening!

We've gone to Las Marias several times since they moved downtown. The food is great, as good as restaurants in Santa Fe. The first time we went, about 6 weeks ago, service was lackadaisical, but has improved significantly. There is a big selection of options to go with meals—refried beans or whole beans, 3 different salsas (red [mild], green [semi-hot],... More

They have a great lunch menu, and specials. Large portions. The enchilada's were amazing, and the chile relleno's were to die for. Service was excellent as well.

Las Marias has moved to a new location, across 7th Street from the Avalon Theater. Had lunch there on Friday, with a group of friends. The service was excellent, even though the restaurant was quite busy, orders were kept straight, and served with a smile by the wait staff. Oh, and I enjoyed the green chili and rice, which was... The food was authentically Mexican, with just the correct amounts of queso, frijoles, pollo, etc. Service was a little slow, particularly since the restaurant wasn't very crowded. I got the sense that the owners were still working out the kinks in their move from a more "suburban" location. The restaurant is also open for lunch, and will be a good... More

I would really like to give this restaurant a good review as the food was great. The homemade tortillas were actually excellent, as was the carne asada. What really caused this restaurant to fail was the service. It was Friday night so they were busy, but the service was awful. We ordered drinks and guacamole and it took 15 minutes... More

We have been going to Marias for the last year. I love how clean it is and how the food is always plentiful. The only issue we ever have is with the newer wait staff. If your lucky enough to get one of the experienced staff or Maria herself, you will not be disappointed. Even though this has been an... More

I LOVE this restaurant and have made it a weekly trip to see them and eat their outstanding food. I like my food extra spicy and Maria remembered this from the first time I ate there with my friends. My whole family goes to Las Marias, some more then once a week, this is one of the cleanest restaurants in... More

Decided to eat here after reading the other reviews. So happy we did. Delicious Mexican food and nice friendly service. I had the cheese enchiladas and whole pinto beans....yummy. Topped it off with the sopipillas...the best I have eaten in many years. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in Grand Junction.

After reading raving reviews of this restaurant we went with great expectations. Sadly, it was just not good at all. The tamales I ordered were served mildly warm not hot, and the food was just not that great. Marginal at best and the house margaritas are pre-made from a bottle. I've had traditional Mexican food in Mexico and throughout the... More
