Located in Colorado's foothills some 11 miles up Coal Creek Canyon is The Wondervu Cafe. My wife and I have been dining here since 1979 and have never been disappointed. Our latest visit was on November 21st. of this year. We were looking for someplace special and both had Wondervu in mind. We arrived to find the restaurant as warm... More

The restaurant sits at the top of the canyon road on Hwy 72. The staff is very friendly, the food is average although it takes a long time to get your order, the prices are high but the portions are generous, but we really come for the view. In the summer and fall you can sit out on the deck... More

I don't normally write reviews but just had to for this place. The food was great - best cheese enchilada I think I've had. And the service was the best. I have to call out and thank Sue Petersen. She took great care of us and was a pleasure to chat with.

Kinda unique place with consistent food and service quality. I meet my friends there almost every time I stop in Colorado.

Our family was headed home from a full day in the Rocky Mountains. We've eaten here before, and so we knew exactly where we could find a great meal and personal customer service. My husband and I shared the fajitas and the kids both had the "Mexican meal". House margarita was a perfect blend and topped off our great meal.... More

I always pick this place for my birthday dinner because my husband will not go any other time because for the last 10 years this place HAS THE WORST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPEREIENCED. If you keep an open mind and go in knowing service is awful, the food is great; salsa one of the best I ever had. Cute... More

I was told by a couple of friends in Nederland who have property there not to eat at this restaurant, but we were by there so tried it. Boy, were they correct! The food is not at all special (healthy???, ha!)and more expensive than any Mexican restaurant we have ever gone to, and we go to a lot. It's also... More

Quite a variety of Mexican dishes, but not much besides. I can compliment the nachos here, but the vegetable soup was overshadowed by the accompanying toast and saltine crackers. Although I didn't try one, I can say that the mini cakes and pies all looked delicious. Very convenient restaurant for those staying at the Eldora Lodge just down the road.... More

We had a hard time figuring what to order since the prices were so high. I'll admit that the amount of food is huge, but $10.00 for Guac and Chips ? We had been driving all day and had a rough ride up the mountain in heavy fog so since this café was only 1/4 mile from our motel, we... More
