The food was pretty good actually, no complaints there. A little pricey by Golden means, but decent sandwich. Personality was a little lacking while I was trying to pay for food while with my family (infant child) I kinda felt they looked at us as trouble or something, not a great welcoming feeling here.

We stopped in for some coffee and the smothered meat burrito. Both were excellent. This is not your local Starbucks. Things move a little slower here which was fine with us. We will be back.

Very nice setting, good coffee and coffee drinks, along with Chai and smoothies. Staff is friendly. A great place to sit and have a coffee. Wish the Wifi was easier to connect to.

We went for breakfast each morning when we stayed in Golden. Fast and friendly service. Excellent baked goods, quiche and yogurt parfait. We always try to seek out independently owned restaurants - this is a favorite in Golden.

We were in town for a weeding and looking for a "NON STARBUCKS" place to get a cup of Joe and decided to stop in for some time in the Saddle! Coffee was good better than starbucks but that doesn't take much, the real Gem here was the breakfast was really good. Fresh made food with good ingredients and the... More

Very friendly with a good choice of veggie and gluten free food. Good coffee as well. Went there for breakfast several days - plus has coffee and a scone one afternoon. In the morning the freshly baked muffins were great.

After a long walk in Clear Creek Park on a chilly February day, this was a welcome oasis of warmth and enticing aromas. The hot chocolate and huge chocolate chip cookies really hit the spot. The convenient location near the entrance to the park, comfy seating, including some overstuffed leather chairs made it all the more welcoming. We like the... More

Visited last August, sight seeing and passing through on our way from Denver to Beaver Creek. Chose it on a whim because we were hungry after our long flight, wanted a simple coffee and sandwiches lunch so we could get back on the road quickly, and thought the Windy Saddle looked inviting enough, and was close to where we parked.... My bride and I enjoyed a great lunch at the WS. Our two soups, Lentil and French Onion were very good, bride really liked my French Onion as did I. We shared a turkey sandwich on roll with avacado. Very good. Quirky room with different kinds of seating and clientele. Definitely a place to meet friends, hang and converse. Coffee shop... More

We stopped by to asked about the chocolate pecan pie the occasionally make. They said they would make it for us the next day. They said they opened at 7am. They did open at 7am, but by the time we got there at 8am, they had forgotten to make it. We were disappointed and had to walk back to the... More
