The Sherpa House is a restaurant I frequent. The decor is Tibetan, very ethnic. Something profoundly comforting about this place. Buffet lunch is very good, lots and lots of chai tea served, and no rush to leave. A place to meet a friend, relax and let the world go for a while. Service is very friendly and just right, not... We just got back from Nepal and wanted a Yak Fix. Quick and excellent service in very nice surroundings. We shared pork Momo which was a bit greasy on the bottom but tasted good. We shared a combination Nepali Stew which was excellent and a Chili Yak dish which was also excellent. We ordered the food medium hot, which was... More

The restaurant was very well decorated with minute details from Nepal. Food was fresh and tasty. Our food was mild as per our request but I think a level up (medium) would have made the food even tastier. Their was a Groupon which ended up saving us a few bucks. Also, the golden tkt would work if you had one.... More

The converted house to a restaurant/cultural center was brilliant to meet the theme. The four of us went on a Tuesday and found the menu impressive for selection and pricing. Two opted for the well laid out buffet, I had yak stew and fourth person ordered sizzled yak chunks with rice and lentil soup. Although all food was tasty and... More

Having just come back from Nepal, we went to grab some Dal Bhat. Walked in and it smelled exactly like the tea houses we came to love so much on our trek. It was a weekend night and should have made reservations first. However, the wait was not long (20 min) and the food was great. Even had Nepali/Indian beers... More

We cannot say enough about this lovely place. Outstanding service, delicious foods with brunch buffet available for lunch, and fine selections for dinner. Try the chai tea or the lassi! Parking is limited, so you may wish to go on 'off' hours, or park a little further away.

We had friends visiting and we stumbled on to Sherpa House. Our friends are from India and we just showed them Red Rocks and decided to drive into downtown Golden. We drove by Sherpa House and thought it looked interesting. We all enjoyed the wonderful buffet. Our friends and their children thought the food was great. We ate in the... More

At least it seems authentic not being from Nepal. The decor is traditional and colorful. The food all tasted very good. We have appetizer platters and baskets of naan. The tikka masala (lamb and chicken) was really good. We even ordered yak stew to have the full experience. The stew was not quite as good as the other dishes but... More

I had a delicious lunch at Sherpa's today. It is a self service buffet with many options of entrees, some of which are vegetarian. I particularly enjoyed the Saag and the lentil soup, but everything I tried was good.

The Sherpa House restaurant in Golden is authentic in food and decor. There are several cozy rooms with different decorations to match a traditional Nepali home. The large outside patio is ideal in good weather. The menu is extensive. The wait staff is a little stiff, but efficient. I had the Sizzler combination which is served on a hot metal... More
