Sherpa House in Golden has a great selection of Nepalese food and the staff is very friendly and great in explaining what is in their dishes. The design of the restaurant with all the great pictures of Nepal and the history of the staff is great. The chai is awesome and I always feel like I have a cup that... More

The bottom line (based on one dinner and one lunch): very good food, great décor, disappointingly poor service and customer relations. My first visit there was dinner with my wife and another couple. We were seated on the outdoor patio, which was very nice. Although we all thought the food was very good, it took somewhere between 45 minutes and... More

Yes the food is great, and the buffet more than generous, but the unique thing of the Sherpa Restaurant is that they have created the design of a typical Nepalese home, with authentic trappings and decorations. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

I went to this restaurant with a group of 12 and we ordered appetizers to share. Each person ordered something different for dinner and everyone had high praise for the food. The assorted naan bread was very good and I had chicken tikka at a level 5 which was plenty of heat for me. Our group ate inside near an... More

Yes! And you must try it. Authentic and made from scratch. Rich spicy sauces, fresh ingredients and one of a kind patio dining. I don't give five stars lightly!

I was part of a large party (12), and restaurant was busy. Don't sit inside (stuffy), but outside patio in 70-degree weather was pleasant if you don't mind wrought iron patio furniture. Food was great for the most part. Dinner took over 2.5 hours due to very slow service. If we go again, it will only be for lunch if... More

We had never eaten "Himalayan cuisine", but we're big fans of Indian food and recognized many of the menu items so decided to give this place a try. Luckily for us, there was a lunch buffet that offered a wide variety of dishes from a spicy lamb stew and Tandoori chicken to Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer. I think... More

I'm a vegetarian, so I can't tell you what the meat dishes taste like, but I can vouch for the quality of the vegetarian fare. It's delicious. The onion bhaji, vegetable samosas, and paneer pakora make delicious appetizers, and the entrees are equally wonderful. We ate here two evenings in a row, and then again two days later, dining on... From the moment I walked through the door, I was enchanted by the international feel of this unusual dining experience in Golden, Colorado. The food is good and the ambiance is charming. It is a casual place. Perfect for a winter's eve when a hearty bowl of stew and delicious bread with a Nepalese twist hits the spot...après skiing perhaps.... More

A great place for a hearty lunch or supper. The food is tasty and the service is friendly. The prices are moderate. One of our favorites.
