Wonderful experience

We saw a coupon on groupon and decided to give it a shot. Our family lived in India and has traveled to Nepal. The staff lived up to our expectations and were incredibly friendly, speaking Hindi with my son and playing with him. The food was spot on as well. The naan was just right and the perfect... read more

We only ate here at lunch time, when it is very busy. They only offer a buffet at that time, and I thought the buffet was pretty average, and even quite bland. Kind of disappointed, as I have always heard good things about this place, but it could have been an off day....

When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We were from out of town and had no idea we'd need one. I'm glad we got there at 6:00. We were seated at one of the last tables in the back area. There's a reason the place was so crowded. The food was delicious. We had naan and... More

The buffet had several delicious curry options from mild to super spicy. There were also vegetarian and gluten free options if that floats your boat. We did not care for the spice blend, but it was a special experience trying yak for the first time. Overall, it was a filling meal with beautiful decor for a great price.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. This is really a cultural experience. The restaurant is located inside an historic Golden home and has a beautiful garden. It is decorated with memorabilia from Mt. Everest and surrounding area.

Sherpa House offers the buffet daily, according to the cashier. Groupon, she said, is offered on Sunday. Very nice staff in a exotic atmosphere. Check out the front garden and the patio.

The patio dining was great. Several in our party had the yak which ended up really tough. Otherwise service was good and food pretty good. Not sure I'd go back.

First time here. Ate dinner here outdoors, which was lovely. Obviously, the weather has to be good for this. Small wine list could be expanded, but we made do. Many options for vegetarians, vegans, carnivores--everyone! Great Naan bread. We found the food to be quite hot and spicy--some items too spicy for us, despite asking for very mild. Service spotty--entrees... More

This is a family-owned restaurant that serves wonderful Himalayan food. The menu is quite varied and includes typical Nepalese and Indian food. Food is prepared according to your preference for spiciness. Wait staff are friendly and eager to please.

First time in a foreign food restaurant is a challenge...the names, foods, preparation, and ingredients are unknown. However, the Manager of the SHERPA restaurant knew that and he had waiters with precise explanations of each dish. All 6 of us bravely tasted the unknowns and what a pleasant surprise. The spices were delectable and the variety of meats & vegetables... More
