I ate here with friends while attending a conference recently. I had heard it was really good. However, even the blue cheese dressing on the salad could not hide the fact that the lettuce was browning, the desert spumoni had melted and been refrozen, was covered with frost and sat in a puddle of frozen melted ice cream. I ordered... More

When going out for lunch, dinner, etc., always take a look at their specials. Most of the time, they turn out to be the best item on the menu! The Italian Underground is no exception - they had an amazing flank steak in spicy tomato basil sauce served over wide egg noodles...it was so delicious that I ate the entire... More

The food at the Italian Underground was the best Italian food that I have ever eaten, but it is somewhere right up near the top. We were a group of 5 and had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table but the service and atomsphere was great and the wait was worth while. The portions are huge so... More

Yes, all of the above is true for the Silver Club, the oldest building in Glenwood Springs. Different gambling and other pleasures establishments were hosted in this four story building. The place is so old, the toilet has a sign, and I quote: "This is the oldest building in town. Flush it till it goes!" Don't let this turn you... More

First off, it opens at 5pm sharp. We always get there by 4:30 or 4:45. Once the line forms the restaurant will fill up its 14 tables. The other option is to wait until about 6:30 and then the first wave of people who dined will be finished and tables open up again. This is a true, iconic gem in... More

We walked by this place several times and decided to try it our second night in town - and when we turned the corner and saw all the people waiting outside, we knew it had to be good. And it was very good!! What a unique place to eat. You have to have dinner here if you are in town.... More

We've been eating at the Italian underground for well over 15 years on our visits to Glenwood. It never disappoints, not even this spoiled Chicago Italian. This last visit in particular was beyond amazing. The wait was long as expected so we sat at the bar. Rainn was the bartender and very knowledgable and friendly. He made a number of... More

Our family enjoyed a fun dinner at the Italian Underground restaurant over Spring Break 2013. However, seating is limited so we had to wait a very long time to eat. Once we were seated we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. However, we would have like to have more meat/chicken options for the pasta meals due to the... More

We eat here EVERYTIME we go to Glenwood. It's worth the wait (if you have to) and the atmosphere is wonderful. It's not a big place, so unless you get there right when they open at 5..you will wait for a table. Again, it's worth it. The Bolognese sauce is our favorite, as well as the fettucine alfredo. And your... More

It's the popular place to go, so be prepared for incredibly long waits. The environment is excellent with a neat atmosphere. I was amazed by the quality of the food for such a small place.
