This is truly a hidden gem! The food is awesome! We had the pickle soup which the owner (who is from Poland!) made from scratch as with all the food. It was delicious! It's like chicken and rice soup with a twist! Even if you don't like Pickles you will love this! Very authentic! We also had the cabbage rolls... More

We've been twice now, and 4/5 of my family thinks that Polanka is at least as big a draw as the famed Hot Springs themselves. (The 5th is a 10 year old picky eater... so he doesn't count.) We've tried nearly everything on the menu, and while the stuffed cabbages aren't as good as my grandama's, they're darn close. The... More

This is a very spartan and small place but all the (admittedly limited) selections were excellent. Essentially no service, you order at the counter and they call when it is ready. The stuffed cabbage was especially good but really I could not say anything bad about the pierogies, pork chops or noodles. Drink selection was grab out the the cooler... More

This small, family-run restaurant was a joy to visit. There were two of us, and we split a combo plate so we could sample several different dishes, and we also had potato pancakes. I had previously thought I didn't care for pierogis, but that was before I had them here! They were delicious! Everything is cooked fresh after you order... More

Though the Polish food of my youth wasn't quite so universally fried. This is a one-person shop, so don't go if you're in a hurry. In what's apparently a Glenwood Springs tradition, service is extremely slow, even when you're the only customer.

My wife had been telling how good the food is here and after stalling for a year we went in for lunch. Excellent food that you don't eat all the time. We both had the combo and it was delicious. Trust me don't try and eat it all, get a doggie bag. The owner was very pleasant and made us... More

If you're looking for a fine dining experience, this is not it. If you are looking for an authentic Polish meal cooked by the owners right in front of you and served as it is prepared, look no further. Delicious food, small but satisfying menu choices, and very reasonable prices. Want wine with your dinner? Bring your own glasses and... More

Our food was delicious, especially the authentic potato pancakes. The sandwiches were so huge that my sons, ages 17 and 21, could not finish them!

Based on reviews here on Tripadvisor, while staying here in quaint Glenwood Springs, we decided to eat at Polanka, and I'm so glad we did. This is a very small, family owned restaurant. The place is not fancy, but was clean. There was an older woman back in the open kitchen preparing the food. We were there with our daughter... More

First, the food is inexpensive and food prep is open. Simple kitchen. You look at the menu and choose. The family is...stand-offish? But the food is just like Manhattan Lower East Side. Authentic, simple and good homemade Polish. Dining area is Spartan. They call your name. You pay after. Good food but a bit like Seinfeld's Soup Nazi.
