Terrific place with very unique ambiance inside and out. I had trout and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent. Great bar and seating outside by the river. It is a place for locals.

My husband took me to Rivers for my birthday. The atmosphere was bright, cheery yet peaceful. The food and service was fantastic. I had the vegetarian lasagna and it was the best I'd ever had. Our waitress was excellent and didn't let the stress of being short staffed affect her service. I can't wait to return!!!!

We sat outside on the patio overlooking the river. Food was a bit overcooked but still had a great taste.

While on vacation in Glenwood Springs last month, River's was suggested as a really good place to eat. While the service was decent, the taste of the food was lacking. One of us ordered steak and the other the prime rib. The steak was dry and overcooked. While the prime rib was a little tough (which is hard to do... More

We sat outside on the lovely patio, which can get very hot, but the server was nice enough to bring over an extra umbrella for us. The menu has a few interesting items on it, but the execution was lacking. The Elk meatballs are overcooked, too dense, and our first order came out cold, as the meatballs were obviously quite... We have gone to Glenwood Springs many times over the years. For at least ten years Rivers has been the only restaurant we have dinner at. We like to sit on their deck above the river and across from a steep canyon view. The food is always excellent, as is the service. Last week, we ate there on a Friday... More

This place used to be one of the highlights of our trip. We even recommended it to some fellow hotel guests. I'm embarrassed. The prime rib was like gnawing a rubber shoe. Innatentive and misinformed servers. It was horribly dirty. The womens bathroom looked like a trash pit.....sadly...we will never be back. I gave it two stars for the ambiance... More

The atmosphere is terrific and you can eat on the deck overlooking the Frying Pan River. The trout was delicious and the restaurant gave us a free anniversary dessert.

The board out front in the lobby list specials for 15.99 and the most expensive item on the menu is $22.00 so when our waitress ask us if we wanted a special we said OK and didn't ask the price. BIG MISTAKE. We had halibut, 1/3 cup of rice and maybe that many veggies. When we got our bill each... More

The patio here is amazing and the view spectacular. However the service is not the best and the good is over priced. If you do go for a drink on the deck and get hungry, the Greek pizza is cheap and actually pretty yummy.
