Passing Through

We were looking for a place to eat and stopped at the Georgetown Visitor's Center. They suggested The Happy Cooker for lunch. I was surprised by the historic downtown. There was plenty of architecture and neat shops. The food was delicious and staff very friendly.

And do they ever know how to cook! We ate here several times. The waffles are to die for! Just the right crunch and so tasty! They have lox and bagels, traditional egg breaskfeat, just a lot of fun and funky dishes. If you find yourself in Georgetown, don't miss it!

Love the chipped beef and artichoke on a Belgian waffle...and overall food is good and sometimes great. However, the servers can vary from very nice and prompt, to grumpy. We arrived for our last visit at 4:40 and restaurant closes at 5:00 p.m. Even told the waitress we'll order and eat fast. She pouted and was dismissive until the very... More

The vegetarian burrito was great and the homemade syrup for the French toast was yummy too! Great spot for lunch or breakfast downtown.

First I would like to thank the staff for keeping our credit card for us until we returned - however, the service was very slow and it took so long to settle our check I think my husband forgot about the credit card and left it on the table - the bread is delicious but the food was mediocre -... Adorable restaurant in the middle of downtown Georgetown. A very simple menu of breakfast classics, sandwiches and soups. It was perfect for us, we didn't want to eat anything that was going to weigh us down. Although simple, the food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. Will definitely return.

We regularly make an hour long drive to have breakfast at the Happy Cooker in Georgetown, CO. The repurposed little house that the restaurant is located in is fun in and of itself. The food has been great every time we have gone. I especially like the Classic Breakfast Burrito and the Huevos Rancheros both of which I have smothered... More

I was a little hesitant at first about an 8 dollar breakfast burrito, but hot damn, almost as big as the plate, and it was awesome, smothered in gravy and the potatoes in it were fantastic! It will be a must every time were here!

Visited a few years back and is a must on the next trip. I was ready to burst when I left. All of it was yummy.
