What a Great Find in a Tiny Town

We were on our way to visit a friend's ranch and as we approached Gardner, realized how hungry we were. And there it was, the darling Wildflower Cafe in the over 100 year old former gas station, just across from the Gardner School. A combination grocery, homemade herbal tea and tincture shop and... read more

I belong to an organization that owns property nearby so I usually stop in to eat a meal when I'm in the area. The food is always excellent. They tend to specialize in Mexican fare and they do it right. They also typically have a couple of pies to choose from for a dessert which is a nice option. They... More

I have been working in Southern Colorado and traveling through Gardner routinely for the past year and as a result eat at the Wildflower with great frequency. Susan and the entire family put out some of the best food within the remote area of 75 miles. You would be well advised to call ahead to be sure they have green... More

Great menu, fun environment, and good prices. A great little surprise in this tiny town on hwy 69. Take a break from the road to support this indie business and cafe! If ONLY they had a gas pump... oh well.

We were getting hungry and happened to be passing through Gardner Colorado at lunch-time. And boy were we lucky when we happened upon this cafe. The owner was also the wait staff of this four table establishment, and his wife (we assumed) the phenomenal cook. Delicious southern-based cuisine, beautifully presented (my enchiladas were adorned with edible flowers.) The cafe was... More

The hippy flavored Wildflower Cafe is hard to miss, especially if neading north on CO69, as one makes a 90 degree turn to the left in front of the cafe. We stopped on our way back from Buena Vista to Aguilar, and found the little hippy-flavored cafe somewhat charming. Just a few tables, but good service and sandwiches like the... More

We stopped in for a birthday dinner and it was great. We got a pizza which was full of cheese and chili cheese fries which made for a very tasty appetizer. The attached store is a bit pricey, but the restaurant has really good prices. As a surprise, they brought out a free sundae for the birthday lady as we... More

On May 19, 2012 we hikers from Colorado Springs decided to see if there were a restaurant open in Gardner. And yes, there was! We found the delightful Wildflower Cafe. The food was delicious and there was homemade apple pie. Also, the owner talked to us for quite awhile about the business and about her having gone to school across... More

At the beginning of a four-day trip in the mountains, my family stopped here for breakfast and found the place charming. Their menu is simple which I like in restaurants because its says they're focusing on quality. And Wildflower does that. The green chile on the Huevos Rancheros I ordered was spicy and yummy! Prices are affordable. I found out... More
