this more of a take-out joint serving good quality meat, slow cooked on premise and topped off with a kansas city style sauce. our group of eight took a big pan of beef and pork with several sides over to a picnic table near lake dillon. we all enjoyed the food and the views.

We went in here at lunchtime just to have a look and found it packed with locals tucking into their smoked meat sandwiches. We joined them and discovered a huge variety of meat frshly smoked on the premises. The helpings were great and smothered in their own BBQ sauce. There was frshly made fries, salads, soups and sweet courses if... More

Went in here at lunchtime one day never realising just how good it was for food! All of their meats are smoked on the premises and they have a fantastic selection of meats available, their own BBQ sauce, plus fries, slads and soups. This is outstanding value with rolls overflowing with freshly cooked meats.

Guys are really nice and service is fine, but food is really poor. Meats are plane, dry, and portions are little. We had burnt ends, pig shoulder, and half chicken. Chicken was the worst, but other were not much better. Portions are really small, baked potato was cold and probably from yesterday. We couldn't finish our meal, it was so... More

They bring out a tray of smoked salmon pieces, each one wrapped separately and priced according to its weight. You choose the size/piece you want and then they will plate for you with sides or make a salmon po'boy whichever you want. delicious!

I'm from Canada and we don't have the BBQ experiences of those from the southern states, but I wasn't impressed. The Real Food Restaurant in Houston airport, had much better BBQ cuisine than I experienced here. Definitely volume of business equates to freshness. The brisket was not tender, nor was it juicy. The ribs were OK.. Ambiance is almost non... More

It could have been better. The burnt ends were cubed and hence tough. The hot dogs were excellent and the 'sloppy joes' were very good.

Given that it is the only KC style BBQ in the area, it is better than the others (IMO). so I'll give them a 4. Now even with a high mark, as a life long KC resident, I have to say they don't use Kansas City quality beef and they cook it too rapidly (probably to cut costs) so that... More

My wife and at lunch at 2:00 PM at Q4U. There were 3 or 4 people in line when we arrived and it grew to 7 or 8 by 2:45 PM. We ordered the pork shoulder, fries, beans and slaw. The sandwiches are served on hogie buns so well worth the $9.00 charge. I had mine served with Q4U's 4X... More

As a huge fan of KC BBQ this Q4u BBQ restaurant blew my mind. The smoked pork ribs, which I had as part of a reasonably priced combo were so tender and flavorful. The meat was so fresh that it fell of the bone as I was eating it. Then, with their special, sweet flavored BBQ sauce, the ribs were... More
