Description: Voted 'Best Restaurant' at the 2011 Taste of Fort Collins, Jax Fish House is one of Old Town's most popular destinations for unforgettable food and drink. At Jax, Exec Chef Sheila Lucero and Chef de Cuisine Kevin Grossi have created an innovative menu filled with the best, locally sourced, sustainably harvested ingredients we can find. The menu is matched by a colorful, vibrant space. Exposed brick and modern flowlighting create a comfortable yet upscale mood. The famous Raw Bar at Jax greets you as you enter and features a variety of fresh oysters, clams, chilled crabs and lobsters, all flown in daily. A lively crowd chatters away at the bar while slurping oysters over sips of fruit-infused martinis. Jax is the perfect place to grab happy hour after work or before a show. Buzzing atmosphere, eclectic local art, knowledgeable-friendly staff and the Best Seafood in Fort Collins make Jax worthy of its rave reviews.

There aren't very many fish restaurants in Fort Collins so we usually go to Red Lobster. We've also tried the Fish Market. On a whim, we tried Jax and BOY WERE WE SURPRISED! Very flavorful food - not your everyday menu! Everything we tried was delicious! Now you can easily spend $50/person as they charge a la cart for appetizers,... More

We have made it a habit to go to Jax Fish and Oyster bar on Monday nights because Happy Hour runs all evening. We love their "coin margaritas" for $4 and then order several small plates to make a dinner for the two of us. Their mussels, caesar salads and fish sliders make a easy and delicious meal. This place... More

I was visiting my daughter in Colorado and happened upon a coupon book in a smoothie shop that had an offer of 4 free oysters at Jax in Ft. Collins. It was a beautiful evening and I took my son in law there that evening just to get out of the house and relax. We ordered 16 oysters and a... More

We sat outside to sit with my dog which was nice. The tables were super close together though. I couldn't believe how pricey it was. I wasn't in the mood for a salad so I got the salmon sliders. They were alright. Eh it was alright but the price would keep me away.

Great service, and great food by a creative chef. Creative menu has something for everyone - I had a hard time choosing! Dine outside, or inside - its a pleasant atmosphere thats not too noisy even when full. I had a swordfish special which was perfectly cooked and served with a mushroom dish that was delicious. Save room for desert... More

Last night we went to Jax for their Monday night Happy Hour special. We typically go on a Monday because the food is all so wonderful that we can get several different orders off of the happy hour menu and try a little of everything! Who says there is suck a thing as too much of a good thing? We... More

We have been to Jax 3 times in the last year and have been very satisfied each time. The chowder is the best I've ever had and each entree we have gotten has been wonderful. Drinks were great, albeit a bit pricey. The menu is always changing and very creative! Even my kids loved their food. Service was great as... More

We visited this restaurant for the first time and had high expectations based on others reviews. The unless you sit outside the noise level inside can prohibit any cross table conversation. We ordered the ahi poke (very bland) and calamari (excellent !!) for appetizers. Main courses were the Colorado catfish-french toast-raw egg experiment and the pepper crusted ahi tuna. We... More

We wandered in on a Tuesday night with no reservation. They seated us promptly. The service was attentive. My wife had the three grilled fish tacos with dirty rice (it happened to be "Taco Tuesday"). Both were tasty, she says. I had the shrimp & sausage po boy, which came with chips and slaw. All good. About $40. I would... More

We decided at the last moment to dine out and I decided that we should try JAX as we had not been to this restaurant since we moved into the area 7 months ago. We were greeted by a server who said that he would get the hostess to seat us, which happened in less than a minute. Our hostess... More
