One of the best for Chinese food in this area

Their lunches are great and so is service. Especially liked the lemon shrimp and the moo goo gai pan. Their hot and sour soup is also very good. Can't beat the price either. Take out was also prompt and good.

We've tried a lot of the Chinese restaurants in the area---and some are pretty good---but South China is (by far) the best. The food is absolutely delicious and always served fresh and hot. Everything that I have tried here has surpassed my expectations, and I was delightfully surprised that it was so authentic (Fort Collins is a pretty small place,... More

I was hankering to try this place and showed up on a Tuesday night. When I entered it was almost empty by the time I left, every table was filled. I got the impression it was well known in the neighborhood. I ordered the Orange Peel Beef and would have preferred something else. There was something about it that made... More

Go visit Ming at South China for the best in FC. This is what Chinese is supposed to taste like - not overly sweet and an inch of breading around everything fried like most Chinese. The crab cheese wontons actually have crab in them!

I really wanted to like South China. It had been recommended to me as "the best in Fort Collins" since Chinese in Fort Collins is lacking. It's still lacking in my opinion. I have now been there twice- once for dinner, once for lunch. Our dinner experience was fine. I liked my husband's food more than my own. Prices are... More

This place is amazing. I had the most delicious egg drop soup and crackers. Next I had a margarita, which tasted perfectly and had actual alcohol in it. Then my family split a few entrees. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious, the shrimp with lobster sauce was very good, and the beef my husband ordered was spicy and delicious.... More

We took the recommendation from a local to check this spot out, was great. Sat right down ordered within a minute, lunch selection was decent but there dinner menu wasn't that expensive if you wanted more meal and less extras. Server was very nice and quick. In and out in 40 minutes.

Names after the region of China where the owner was born and raised, he still cooks there every night! We have never been there when the owner is not. The service staff is young, but friendly, helpful, and prompt. One of our favorites in town.

I don't know why it took us so long to finally visit the South China restaurant. We've always heard great things about it but probably because it's closed on Sundays, we just missed it. I would very highly recommend the food here, it's freshly made and the fried rice alone is worth the trip. Don't let the spartan decor put... More
