We have been rather spoiled in our experiences with Indian cuisine, so were prepared to be disappointed (or at least not impressed) with this restaurant just south of the student district. However, our experience was generally fairly positive. The menu was diverse and included some things unfamiliar to us as well as some old standbys. Service was prompt and pleasant,... More

After driving by this little place hundreds of times, finally stopped in for the lunch buffet. The variety of foods was delightful. Everything on the buffet appeared hot and fresh. The service was excellent even though the place was literally packed. A very, very pleasant surprise that I had overlooked far too long.

I looked at some of the earlier reviews for Star of India, and I almost think that some of the negative ones must have been for a different restaurant. We actually had a really good experience! We ordered the veggie korma (somewhat different here than most northern Indian versions I've had in that the dish was infused with coconut -... More

My family and I had been there previously and enjoyed it. Today we went and arrived first, and our waiter served everyone except us, we even waited to see if he would take our order with the third set of people that arrived, he did not. We walked out.

Went to Star of India with a friend for lunch. Had the lunch buffet. We were there around 1pm so most of the food was picked over or just being kept warm. The food was good, but nothing spectacular, a lot of it was getting hard from being heated too long. The desserts were great though. Felt quite uncomfortable with... More

I've eaten at this restaurant MANY times. It's right by my house, and I love indian food! Their food is very good. I love their lunch buffet. It's definitely a good value and on top of it, you can usually find good coupons for the buffet. This is very helpful because I am a student and on a student's budget.... More

Great butter chicken. Try the Kashmiri naan! Not cheap, but good and the staff is very nice. Rose iced tea was lovely!

We had never had Indian food, so we went for the lunch buffet on a Saturday. We were very pleasantly surprised! The food was very good, the restaurant was clean and attractive, and the service was excellent and friendly. At the buffet, each dish was labeled with the Indian name and a short description which was very helpful.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Fort Collins. The buffet is delicious: so flavorful! Although some items are quite spicy, there is enough of a range to accommodate all palates.
