My Sister Won't Stop Eating My Food!

We've been faithful goers to Lucile's for years. The first time we went my sister was in town, and now we go EVERY time she is in town (and then some). She insists on beignets (twist my arm) which are the best I have had since I first tried them in New Orleans. The homemade jam is spectacular... read more

Always crowded, more food than I can eat and consistently great food. The beignets are yummy, the enormous fluffy biscuits a delight, rice pudding porridge is breakfast dessert, pain perry excellent. All the egg dishes are good with my favorite the eggs Jennifer. Yum.

Busy on weekends but worth the wait. Quaint, homey restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Collins. Delicious New Orleans style food. Perfect for when you are tired of plain old eggs and pancakes. Have some eggs Pontchartrain with trout and hot beignets instead.

Lucile's has great food--I've never had a bad experience there in that regard. It's crazy busy on the weekends, and people happily wait an hour, outside, for a table. The inside is, um, cozy, to put it nicely--some would say cramped, but on nice days, the shaded patio on the north side is roomy and delightful. Servers are cheerful and... More

Lucile's is a little slice of Heaven in Fort Collins. Yes, it is tiny--be prepared to wait--but very much worth it for their unique fare. My only complaint would be not enough variety for me--there are specials, but the standard menu could be expanded and I would visit more often!

Went their for Mardi Gras lunch. Very busy, inside was tight and cramped. Wait staff was very helpful and prompt. Enjoyed a cup of gumbo, awesome taste, not too spicey. Had some kind of donut with powered sugar, witch was very good with Lucile's fregent tea. Main plate was red beans and rice, might go back to day and get some... More

Lucille's is located in a funky little white house on a corner and is quite welcoming in the early morning. It fills fast so go early. you can have a N'awlins breakfast of beignets and chickory coffee or a straight up southern breakfast with grits. The food is terrific and well-done and delivered to your table by a friendly and... More

Plan on a wait - outside. Very small, old house that on weekends is very busy. Don't judge the food by the outside appearance. Best grits and biscuit in northern Colorado (really). But there isn't a biscuit and gravy on the menu. The biscuit is buttery, crispy (but not dry) and great with the rhubarb jam or pepper jelly. (the... More

This is a great place for breakfast. The food is generally good, and the beignets are as good as any that I've had at New Orleans. The problem is with weekend breakfast. It is so busy and crowded that you cannot enjoy your food. Service suffers and the food quality is not as good as when it is less crowded.... More

Lucile's does Cajun breakfast and lunch like no one else, which is why there is usually a line out the door and many folks willing to mill around for 30 minutes waiting for a seat. It's in a funky old house with no two tables alike, cloth napkins of all sorts and wonderful New Orleans art on the wall. The... More
