Breakfast at its Best

We celebrated our son's bday at Lucile's this morning at his request and had a wonderful meal in the old house downtown that is Lucile's. I had the Cajum eggs that were poached with Hollendaise and beans and potatoes. It cam with a freshly baked fluffy bread. I could not eat the whole thing, there... read more

I recently revisited this Old Town FC institution recently. Holy smokes what I have been missing. Here is what I ordered: Cajun Breakfast -- Red beans (w/meat), poached eggs and hollandaise. Served with grits or potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit. It was divine. The hollandaise was really first rate, eggs cooked to perfection and grits were amazing. I'm GF, so... More

I hate to wait, but this place is worth it. Great food, very New Orleans feeling. It's not uncomment to wait an hour on the weekend, but it's worth it. They have huge biscuits and wonderful jam/preserves to put on it. Everything is really good tasting. I love taking out of town guests there.

I'm not a big fan of Creole food or breakfast. However, I was surprised by how good everything tasted. Their potatoes are amazing! The biscuits are the size of a small dinner plate. You can tell that everything here is made from scratch. You ARE going to need a doggy bag when you leave here. We came here with friends... More

The place seems like an old colonial home converted to a restaurant which gives a homey feeling. We stopped for breakfast and it was very good, the staff is very kind and friendly. They have a good variety of dishes and according to my southern friends; this place is authentic cajun food. The service was great, food came out quickly... More

Maybe the expectations were high because the food "is amazing." I can't argue with amazing; but, I will warn you, it's A LOT of food! The service was great and the coffee too! The biscuit with real jam could have been the beginning and the end; but, the benedict was rich and warm and everything you want it to be.... More

Beignets, Biscuits and Benedicts Oh My!! This place is amazing! Visit during the week so you don't have to wait in line. I've never had a breakfast this good in my life. The cheese grits were the best too!

Lucile's has the best cajun style breakfast in the mountains. Seriously, from their beignets to their po'boys, there is something for every mood and person. They also have amazing fresh squeezed lemonade and homemade jam available. Service is always wonderful, even if you have to wait a bit for a table. One of the best restaurants in Fort Collins!

The best Creole Food in Colorado. Closes at 2pm. Located off of the beaten path, in Old Town. Parking, can be an issue. They take reservations. Lucile's serves Sunday Brunch. I recommend the Eggs Eisenhower and the beignets.
