Classic Italian

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in FoCo (sorry Bisetti's) - the dishes, especially the pastas, are what I think of when I think Italian. The marinara sauce is divine and the meat lasagna is the best I've ever had. Over the years I've tried several other dishes, but we always return to the... read more

My husband and I had Caninos cater a birthday dinner for us. We ordered meatballs, the veggie appertizer, and Chicken Gaetano. Our guests raved about the meal. And the homemade rolls were just wonderful. Thank you Clyde and Trish for a fabulous meal.

Yesterday I went to a family favorite place to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. As usual, the owner (Clyde) told us about his new addition to his family and how happy he was to tell us about that as well as his up coming 40th year anniversary. The restaurant is celebrating for 11 days beginning Jan 14, 2016. After reading... More

I can't even believe the experience I just had at this place..My husband & I completely lost our appetites & now hoping that we're not going to become very ill. The bread & caesar salad tasted good, but then came the entrees...the angel hair pasta was so old and overcooked it stayed clumped together in one big mushy pile, everything... More

This is the second time we had dinner at Canino's. We very much enjoy the physical property; however, the waiter was very slow in getting our order and then the kitchen took even longer. The 'excuse' was the large party on the main floor, but this does not account for the waiter taking long to get to our table. At... More

Red sauce is like ragu, soup had an oil slick ontop, salmon was bland and unseasoned, white wine sauce tasted like water, alfredo was grainy and mainly melted cheese. Stuffed chicken was good, but 3/4 of the meal was disappointing, wish we had gone to the olive garden instead.

We had lunch at Caninos yesterday. The eggplant Parmesan tasted like soggy bread. Even the bread served with our meal was mediocre. My husbands salad was fresh but nothing special. The service was okay, but slow. We will not return.

I've been to this restaurant on a former trip to Fort Collins and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. So, while visiting friends this week I wanted to treat them to a nice dinner and we chose Canino's. The restaurant is situated in an old house and the atmosphere is informal and lovely. The food is outstanding...my tortellini was... More

We had a nice dinner with the family near the CSU campus. Pros: old home restaurant atmosphere, service, house wine list, I had the Braciola - it was great! Cons: plated presentation of the first courses, the wife had the chicken Marsala, the sauce was unusually sweet - she thought it was fair
