I am sorry that I cannot give this restaurant a great review. My friends had crab cakes that were very good but my striped bass was done in a very strange sauce sitting on cubed potatoes, supposedly infused with saffron. The sauce was like water and only made the potatoes spongy and the fish was tasteless. We also were there... More

Jay's changed ownership recently--- so we were not sure what it would be like. Still elegant setting and inviting. The menu has changed as in some specific dishes, but the food is still wonderful, the service even better than it was these last few years. The portions are a bit more realistic (not as oversized). The variety is still excellent.... More

This is the second time I've eaten at Jay's Bistro and it was as wonderful as I remembered. It is located on a side street in Old Town Ft Collins and is a great place to meet friends or for a romantic dinner. Food is very good, menu is varied. Prices are fair. Service is fabulous. This restaurant has recently... More

We recently saw that Jay's had been sold to a couple who had moved into the area and had run restaurants in a previous area. We had friends visiting from London and took them there for what we hoped would be a dinner comparable to when Jay and his wife were the owners. The servers were still wonderful but the... More

This place just had a change in ownership, but the service and food were both outstanding. Lunch is a good value because the prices are lower than dinner and the portions are sizeable. liked the casual but pretty quiet atmosphere on the Sunday afternoon. All three of us really liked the food as well.

We recently enjoyed dinner here for our anniversary. Had heard that the restaurant had been sold, but had never been before to have anything to compare to. Service was first rate and we enjoyed the live jazz in the background that filtered into the back room. Salad and pate starters were very good. I really enjoyed my pan-seared barrimundi with... More

Although Jay's recently changed ownership, they are still amazing! I was glad to see the same attention to detail in service and presentation as the Jay's we knew for the last 20 years! They said they would keep up that tradition, but I wasn't sure that would be possible. It is! The lobster bisque is still so delicious that is... More

We heard our friend Jay had sold the bistro after all these years. Of course, we had to head in for dinner and check things out. We are happy to report it was still awesome! The Lamb chops were cooked perfectly and the blue cheese potato gratin was a great addition! My wife had the local striped bass with caper... More

My friends and i stopped in to jay's last Wednesday for the all night happy hour and tapas. Delicious! Tuna tacos, bbq oysters, lamb sliders with mango something-or-other and - you've got to be kidding - french fries with black truffle mayo!! the drinks were good, music jazzy. The sliders could have used a little more salt, but I guess... More

We visit Jay's every time we are in Fort Collins. Last year I had the lobster mac-n-cheese appetizer and thought it was the best thing ever! At first, I was disappointed to find out it wasn't on the menu any more, then our server, Tamara, said the crew in the kitchen would probably make us one. But, if we thought... More
