I think this restaurant gets good reviews because of the very friendly owner. But really, the food is just average. I actually ordered the eggplant dish because of the reviews on trip advisor and I was sorely disappointed. Their food is fine but there are a lot more restaurants with much better quality of food.

Don't let the location or simple décor deter you, the food here is delicious! The owner was friendly and cheerful. I had the vegetarian plate and enjoyed everything on it. My boyfriend had a beef wrap and enjoyed his as well. All the food was seasoned perfectly. I'm really excited to go back and try more of it one of... More

For day 1 of our vacation, we visited Maza Kabob and was really impressed. I haven't had Afghanistan food and I liked their potatoes and chicken kabob. Didn't care for the yogurt but I finished everything on my plate. Friendly staff, made fresh to order.

I really dislike having to say anything negative about the restaurant. In fact, I am not. The owners are cheerful and friendly. The food is delicious and, yes, I have had Afghan food elsewhere. It is a quaint place and Fort Collins is lucky to have Afghan food of such quality. My dislike comes from the incredibly skewed rating that... More

Don't be put off by the plain decor. The arrangement is you order at the counter, pay, and the food is delivered to your table. No liquor license. The quality of Maza Kabob is manifested by the fresh, nicely prepared dishes. I confess I haven't eaten Afghan food before so I can't compare in that sense, but it is very tasty,... Greeted by the friendly, chatty owner-this food is spectacularly good! Great flavor profiles with different spices. The potatoes (karma?) were outstanding. The #5 beef "patty" kabob and chicken kabob were vey good. We got the "veggie" rice - long grain rice with flexks of veggie (spinach?)-the white rice was also good-not dry. The "steak cube" kabob was also very tasty.... More

I stopped here one day and had the chicken kabob lunch special. As I waited, I watched the other diners to see what they were eating and knew I would be returning. The chicken was moist, the rice was tasty and the potatoes absorbed the liquid it was cooked in and tasted amazing. Yum for me!

The food here is excellent with choices for vegetarians and omnivores. While tucked into a strip mall and simply decorated, the tastes are great and the service is always very friendly. The owner left Afghanistan decades ago and food has apparently been his passion. After working in other restaurants he finally was able to start his own and our whole... More

We continually visit Maza Kabob and always take extra home for which ever teen wasn't with us at the time. The rice is cooked rice and to die for. The cucumber salad comes with most meals and is excellent. The owner let us try the eggplant dish and it is definitely something to get along with all your kabobs to... More

It would be difficult to not eat here at least once a week if I lived in Fort Collins. The food is delicious. The owner is very friendly and clearly cares about his customers. The location/view isn't the best, but it's definitely worth a visit for the food.
