Pricey but good

Started off with 'chips and salsa' but wasn't your typical. They provide a basket of crisp and soft tortillas with excellent salsa and guacamole. Then had the shrimp enchiladas which were also excellent. Food was pricey but much better in quality than many other places I've been

We never miss this restaurant when visiting Ft. Collins. The food and drinks, say margaritas, are amazing! The serving staff and the management are sharp and courteous. The food is a bit eclectic, which makes it more interesting than a typical or "traditional" Mexican restaurant. Always a fun new guacamole to try!

Neither the OpenTable nor the TripAdvisor app has ever let me down and this night was no exception. My mother-in-law was rather skeptical based on the location - behind the Chuck.E.Cheese on College and Prospect and south of a couple of restaurants that change names and cuisines almost as often as I change socks. However, El Monte is a true... More

Tried this place because a friend recommended, cool little joint, but menu is small and pricey. 3 street tacos were $14. Wasn't awful but it wasn't spectacular that I would return.

If you have a hankering for Mexican but want something a little different than the standard fare found most everywhere, then El Monte will take you where you want to go. The menu is definitely familiar but none of the dishes are typical, middle of the road Mexican fare. From the hand made guac ( each serving is made AFTER... More

Amazing food! Superb margaritas - not just the "regular" tequila experience! Fresh food, done how you like it.

El Monte has terrific and authentic Mexican food. this is definitely not your average Mexican restaurant. The tamales and tacos were exquisite and the other choices on the menu made it very difficult to choose. the specialty cocktail list was quite good and the local beers were wonderful. the staff was very knowledgeable about the food and how it is... It had been several years since we had eaten at El Monte Grill, so my wife and I went for a mid-week dinner. Our online table location request worked just right. After we were seated promptly, our waiter answered all our menu questions. We started with a glass of wine for my wife and I had a Mexican beer. We... More

This is an awesome place with amazing food. The Grilled Pork Tenderloin is one of the best meals I have eaten anywhere. The ancho, coffee, cocoa spices make this so flavorful and the pork is so tender it melts in your mouth. They have wonderful guacamole and as an added bonus you can request your own made to order guac... More
