Hidden Gem in the Mountains

Three of us went to dinner (celebrating mom's birthday) and the dinner and service were stellar. Only complaint, I needed a bigger stomach. Thoroughly enjoyed and will return again (this was not our first visit). It may look like a fine dining restaurant, but the food is representative of.

Wonderful service, really good food. Love the atmosphere of this place. Log cabin cozy with big fireplace. The waitress was A+

I had the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and was very pleased. The prime rib sandwich was also very nice. Both meals came hot and fresh and we're quite tasty. The service here was very good, although we struggled to get refills from the bus people as once we were seated no the last they stopped. Prices are about what you... More

We had an enjoyable meal on the last night of our August 2015 visit to Evergreen. The Bistro ambiance is rustic, authentic pine lodge. Fare is high quality, carefully prepared, nice presentation. The appetizer we selected was crab beignets (a real hit!). I had the tasty lamb medium rare, my daughter raved about the halibut, my wife chose Chicken Wellington... More

A pleasant surprise. As we approached this 1923 building we had second thoughts about the quality of our dinning experience. As we sat at the bar we were pleasantly surprised to see how comfortable and warm the restaurant felt. A varied menu with appropriate pricing combined with a complementary wine list made our dinner selection difficult. We decided to start... More

Our last visit at The Bistro was with a group of 50 people for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. A previous visit, with another couple, was the instigating event for deciding that The Bistro was the place in Evergreen to hold a large family group gathering. The Bistro is a wooden log cabin structure that easily fits 150 people and yet... More

We loved the decor. We sat on the porch, which was very nice. It does face west, so we had to close the blinds until the sun went down. You might want to plan accordingly. The staff was wonderful. They recommended a wonderful California wine — You know how California wines can be a bit inconsistent: When they are good,... More

We keep coming back to the Bistro at Marshdale. We are an international group of professionals and have not found any restaurants/eateries anywhere within a hundred mile radius [including all of Denver] that tops it. Marshdale is a little off the beaten path even for Evergreen. Thankfully. Otherwise this place would be overrun by food snobs from around the world.... More

We very much enjoy the Bistro at Marshdale. It is our favorite Sunday Brunch spot. The hospitality and service is excellent, the surroundings are beautiful, and the food is very good. They have good omelets and excellent Eggs Benedict (especially when they have the "crab cake special Benedict" (but the Aussie Benedict is always on the menu and almost as... More

Let's face it, Evergreen is not a culinary hotspot. The Bistro at Marshdale is as good as it gets up here. But it's really quite good. DH is gluten intolerant and the menu offers several options. I often get the short ribs which are great. Saturday evenings they usually have a piano player. Parking can be tight. This is our... More
