I stopped by for a bowl of soup recently……I ended up with two half-bowls of some of the best soup that's ever passed these lips and a sandwich crammed with pastrami….. The soups aren't just good--they're interesting….the chef seems to approach making his final product by creating new and interesting flavors--it works. You're offered a taste of about 10 different... LOVE this place. On snowy cold days or warm tank-top days, the soup and sandwiches here are exquisite! LOVE the people too. How is it that the owner always remembers your name?! Thanks Da Kind! You help make Evergreen the special small town it is.

Da Kind Soups has wonderful soups, about 10 offered at once. Little cups of whatever you want to taste are available. They have the absolutely best ever tuna melt sandwich as well as grilled cheese and a couple more sandwiches, and they also offer salads. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Lunches are reasonably priced. This place is very popular... More

Now I'm a little biased because my sister worked here but the food is just spectacular and an easy not cheep but not expensive quality lunch! Dinner on a cold day hits just the spot to warm up your sole!

Tasty but a bit pricey for what you are getting. Don't expect a full menu or wait staff. You are able to sample as many soups as you would like before picking your favorite. The soup variety changes daily so check their website or Facebook page.

Yes, the soup is good, but come on, does a place that makes good soup and slightly better than average sandwiches really deserve to be the number one rated restaurant? I have been there five times, and have always enjoyed the experience. However, I have had gastric issues twice after visiting, including the most recent time. Would still recommend for... More

I'm a soup lover and a soup maker, and I will vouch for the sheer deliciousness of their roasted red pepper and garbanzo bean soup. Yum. It was amazingly hearty for a vegan soup (I'm not a vegan!).

The variety of soups change each day. The owners are very personable and the staff will give you samples of any of the soups for that day. There is also refrigerated soup in gallon bags to purchase for home use. My personal favorite is their take on Chicken Noodle soup, but there are so many varieties over the week that... More

I've visited Da Kind soups several times before and everything I've tried has been delicious. The only difficult part of the trip is deciding which soup you are going to choose. The employees that work here create a comfortable and friendly environment regardless of whether it's your first or hundredth visit. On a recent visit, one of the employees saw... More

Sure glad this was rated number 1. Great soups and sandwiches. You get to try a sample of all the soups before you decide. Owners and workers were so friendly and helpful. John
