This is a great little diner with soups, salads, and sandwiches. The soups are all interesting and look and smell great. They're set up to give you a little taste if you're uncertain, but there's no risk here. For lunch my wife had the Green kale chia soup which was very tasty and I had Rocky Bocker which was a... The soups are all homemade and taste and smell delicious. The workers are all friendly and will remember your name after a few visits. The soups change from day to day, but there are always 8 types of soup available with various degrees of spice and heat. You can sample any ones you want before ordering. The menu is limited... More

If Evergreen weren't pleasant enough to visit as it is, there's the added joy of finding small places like this one. Da Kind isn't big. It's just a small, ordinary looking shop with a big surprise inside, and, if you aren't used to the neighborhood, it isn't easy to find. They say it's in downtown Evergreen, but the truth is... More

I stopped by for a bowl of soup recently……I ended up with two half-bowls of some of the best soup that's ever passed these lips and a sandwich crammed with pastrami….. The soups aren't just good--they're interesting….the chef seems to approach making his final product by creating new and interesting flavors--it works. You're offered a taste of about 10 different... LOVE this place. On snowy cold days or warm tank-top days, the soup and sandwiches here are exquisite! LOVE the people too. How is it that the owner always remembers your name?! Thanks Da Kind! You help make Evergreen the special small town it is.

Da Kind Soups has wonderful soups, about 10 offered at once. Little cups of whatever you want to taste are available. They have the absolutely best ever tuna melt sandwich as well as grilled cheese and a couple more sandwiches, and they also offer salads. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Lunches are reasonably priced. This place is very popular... More

Now I'm a little biased because my sister worked here but the food is just spectacular and an easy not cheep but not expensive quality lunch! Dinner on a cold day hits just the spot to warm up your sole!

Tasty but a bit pricey for what you are getting. Don't expect a full menu or wait staff. You are able to sample as many soups as you would like before picking your favorite. The soup variety changes daily so check their website or Facebook page.

Yes, the soup is good, but come on, does a place that makes good soup and slightly better than average sandwiches really deserve to be the number one rated restaurant? I have been there five times, and have always enjoyed the experience. However, I have had gastric issues twice after visiting, including the most recent time. Would still recommend for... More
