Great Service and Great Food!

We stopped by on our way home on Saturday night. We had no prior experience with this restaurant and were very happy we stopped in. The service was great after waiting about 20 minutes, the food was prepared well and very tasty. The prime rib french dip was incredible!

We were here for dinner on a Saturday night recently. The food is consistently good and always well prepared. I would definitely make reservations though as it was crowded.

Absolutely enjoyed J. Alexander's. The atmosphere is just great, cozy, just enough romantic light. FOOD wonderful. Great place to bring out of town guests, never get tired of eating at J. Alexander's.

My wife and I, both teachers, take students to Europe every year. This past summer we received gift certificates for J. Alexander's. Neither of us had been. Since we are teachers we tend to dine in conservatively priced establishments. We finally decided to use our certificates ($100) and went on Friday, Dec. 4th. We made reservations for 7pm and arrived... More

I have been fortunate to have been at JA's seven times in the past two months. This review is a compilation of those meals with a focus on my most recent meal last week. First, always great food, from the specials, to the steaks, to the prime rib and chicken, consistently wonderful. Top service also using the Hillstone team service... More

We recently got engaged here (Paris was busy) and they treated us so well. The food is usually top notch, but on this occasion, my fiance's prime rib was a bit ropey. When we pointed it out, they replaced it with a filet, which they comped AND a card for a free entree for our next visit!!! Now THAT is... More

Had a late dinner here on a Wednesday night. Restaurant was 1/2 full, bar crowded. The ambiance is nice, quite dark with adequate lighting over the tables. Prime rib was very good, good selection of local craft beers, good service. They seem to tag team the waiters as we did not see the same person twice. Will drop in again... More

Gave this place another chance after a few years and was surprised at how good all was. Particular favorite was the like home-made creamy chicken/pasta soup, the warm fresh bread--say yes you want it--and the deviled eggs. The later were amazingly delicious. Solid burgers and fries.

Used to be an amazing restaurant and whatever you ordered was simply great. Not anymore! Ordered a steak hamburger, and was not up to par with other meat places. The bun dry, the burger over cooked and was way too salty! And worst of all - not even an apology from the staff. The other dish - Mahi tuna salad... More

Came here on a Friday night, but the wait was too long, so we came back on a Tuesday. The dinner special was a Tuscany steak; great flavor, texture, and flavor. My wife had the Shrimp Louie, again another great meal. Mix those and a couple of cocktails and you have the perfect evening. Service was outstanding too. Definitely recommend,... More
