We have had good experiences with both wild game and other parts of the menu. At the right time of year, they actually have terrific soft-shell crabs!

Gashouse is one of those places that you wish was closer to home! The food is -and isn't - what you would expect in a bar/restaurant in a small mountain town. Sure they have the standards- burgers/fries, sandwiches, soups, etc. How about a buffalo reuben that is so juicy you'll need a stack of napkins? And, take a look at... More

We got there during happy hour and asked to sit in the bar. We were told it would be a long wait so were seated in the restaurant. The happy hour was 30% off appetizers and drinks. When we ordered we were told by the waiter that he would not honor the happy hour prices in the restaurant! We even... More

They offer wild game, seafood and much more - local casual atmosphere. You get a lot of food for your money - I love the fried chicken and the ahi special. They offer a unique wine bottle/glass deal which I enjoyed.

This is definitely more of a three-star restaurant, but a few stand-out dishes bumped it up to a four, specifically the buffalo ribs and the game sausage. The sausage was juicy and dripping with flavor, the ribs were enormous, tender, and totally delicious. These two plates alone would be worth a return visit. Everything else we ate was pretty much... We have had dinner here on many occasions, when friends come to ski and stay in the Vail Valley, they like to visit the Gashouse once during the week for dinner. We have had good meals, especially the game dishes, but we have also had rubbery steaks in the past. Word has it that there is a new Executive Chef... More

We have eaten here a few times with the whole family. We are always treated kindly by the staff and the food has always been good. We always go with the wild game. The spicy chili is my favorite, not the the weak of heart. We get a mixed wild game sausage platter for the children and they eat it... More

We had a great lunch and enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and friendly service. Felt great to be in a restaurant NOT located in a strip mall. Building has been there for 70+ years whlie Edwards sprung up around it. Varied menu offerred something for everyone in our family - soup, pasta, buffalo burger, truffle fries. Nice kids menu. Dinner menu... More

The food was good, though the pricing was not, we asked the waiter what came with the meal and he said you can have this and that, each this and that was a seperate item, I understand a la carte but this wasn't sold that way... You can read my other reviews they are almost all positive.

We eat a lot in the Edwards area. The Gashouse seems to always have a packed parking lot. Last night, we went anyway (prime ski season night). We only had a party of two and they immediately found us a table. Groups larger than 2 had waits and they don't take reservations. The food comes in large portions. Be careful... More
