Italian fare with a twist

A great spot to enjoy a great salad, pasta dishes, and seafood specials. We love their appetizers--especially the pizza eggroll concoctions. A comfortable bar area is a great spot for drinks and appetizers too.

We were indecisive about where to eat tonight. Glad we parked this close and departed from our regular eats. The service was great and attentive. The house Merlot was less than expected, but we finished the bottle.all entrees were fantastic. Well seasoned and breaded. The special. Seafood. Escobar was perfectly cooked with great notes if fresh mozzarella and fresh veggies... More

Durango is lacking when it comes to Italian dining. Mutus can probably satisfy your needs if you are looking for Italian. They have outside dining in the summer months which is quite charming. Inside there is a dining area, and also a nice sized bar area. The restaurant can accommodate small groups and pretty large groups. I order the chicken... More

I visit Durango about four times a year and Mutu's Italian Kitchen is a must every time I visit this fine town. In my opinion it is the best Italian Restaurant in Durango and the nearbye area. The service is friendly and prices reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely a stop for anyone visiting the Durango area.

My husband and I went to Mutu's Italian Kitchen to celebrate both a birthday and an anniversary so needless to say we were expecting a lovely experience. From the moment we walked in the experience was wonderful. Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive, and prompt with our services. The food was excellent and worth putting on our list of restaurants... More

Our table of for had a nice variety and everything was excellent: lasagna with sausage, osso buco, and one of the night's specials, a pork loin stuffed with crab. We also had some of the best calamari appetizers I have ever had, and a shrimp oreganata that was wonderful too. The calamari was thick, tender and juicy and the breading... More

I decided to take my wife to Mutu's for her Birthday Dinner. We had a fine waiter by the name of Aaron. He was fast, knowledgable on the menu and wines, we had a great night with fantastic food! Great desert we had the chocolate brownie! Fantastic night don't pass them by!

Went to Mutu's the last night of my trip to Colorado to visit my boyfriend so he took me out to dinner and I was not expecting such a beautiful place to eat. I love Italian food too so this was perfect!! The table was a little small but the spaghetti I ordered was very delicious. Even had a lot... More

We tried this place our last night in Durango since it looked nice and was almost directly across from our hotel, the Leland house. We had the Osso Bucco and left it. The service was good and the atmosphere very nice but the food was not good.

Another one of our favorites when we visit Durango. Atmosphere is very nice and has a relaxed feel. There is some limited seating outside, which is nice. Good variety of choices on the menu. Had the Pasta Pescatore and the Eggplant Parmesan and they were both delicious. Very generous amount of food, so you did not leave hungry. Service was... More
