Excellent food and charming service in a quiet corner of Durango

Enjoyed all three courses with a very good bottle of imported Pinot Grigio - voted the best meal of our three weeks in USA

The food at Mutu's is amazing. The food was so good that my husband and I return a second time during our long weekend stay in Durango. The service was attentive in the beginning but then lacking afterwards. Our waitress never checked to see how our food was after it was delivered. This was the case during both visits. While... The food was really good! We went on a busier Saturday night, and service was a little slow, but they made up for it with a free dessert (apple tart- to DIE for). Their bartender also made me a PERFECT dry, martini with a twist. Food was different, but really tasty - a little offbeat from 'normal' Italian which makes... More

We try to stop here when we are in Durango and have not been disappointed. Despite it being Memorial Day weekend, we were greeted and seated promptly. Good menu choices including some gluten free options. We had the chicken tortellini and the eggplant parmesan and both were very good. Portions were generous. Server, Lauren, was very good--very personable and attentive... More

Food and atmosphere was great, plus they had gluten free pasta which made the menu far more gluten-free friendly.

We made the mistake of thinking we would just stroll in and get a table. Mutu's was quite busy. Suggest consider making a reservation for dinner. We were flexible and enjoyed our meal at the bar. Great service. Great food.

We live in Durango, but don't go out that often, however, we had a friend/colleague in from out of town, and she was staying at The Rochester, so we went to Mutu's. It's been at least a year since we'd been, and wow were we disappointed. Service was really slow, waiting for our wine, for the promised bread, for the... More

My wife and I stumbled upon this place about 3 years ago when we were visiting the Durango area and we were very impressed by it. So much in fact that when my boss and I were in town recently I recommended that we eat dinner here one night. We started off with drinks (nice wine menu by the way)... More

Went to Mutu's on advice from the gentleman that checked us into our hotel. What great advice. My daughters were a little unsure because it wasn't Olive Garden, but they stepped out of their comfort zone and were glad they did. It was a weekend and they were very busy but we were waited on in very good time. The... More

After a long day on the road, we were looking for a nice, comfortable Italian meal and found exactly what we wanted at Mutu's. Very good chicken parmigiana (and we are from Brooklyn, where it was invented :-) ), nice comfortable atmosphere, terrific staff. Good value, too.
