I ate the Jalepeno Firecrackers for appetizer and the Shrimp Tempura Udon for my meal and they where both Great. Looks like they have a complete Sushi Menu as well.

We went to dinner here on a Sunday night with seven folks. This is some of the more creative sushi around and surprising given their location in Durango. We tried seven different rolls which were all really good and 6 different starters; also all excellent (try the oyster vodka shooter for something unique). This was our third visit to ExSW... More

Great food again, service a little well, not energetic. But the ambience is still neat, and it's a neat all around restaurant. They do not have Escolar or Unagi, but that may be understandable due to their location.

Ambience is very nice but the food is way over priced for the quantity. Good fresh Sushi can be obtained at Albertsons where it is made to your order.

Ate dinner the other night, party of 5 adults and a 3weekold baby. Had a reservation through Open Table. Table was ready, even had a stand for the baby carrier. Service was crisp, even though they were trainer a new server at the time. Intriguing menu, lots of sharing and tasting. Food was overall great. Adventurous chef, and his creations... More

The three of us visited for dinner on a quieter weeknight and it was good, but not great. The regular rolls were fine, but didn't seem all that fresh. And, some of the server-recommended "specials" were a bit funky. The server was in training so it took much longer than necessary to get some things squared-away and corrected. The main... More

I. love. this. place. Whenever we have some money saved up, my friends and I go here. It is amazing how excited we get about it. East by Southwest has definitely some of the best sushi I have ever had, and the setting of the restaurant is relaxing and almost romantic. It has good music, dim lights, waterfalls, and basically... Well if you can get into this awesome sushi fusion restaurant it's well worth the wait! They will find some nice little warm cozy spot for ya eventually! The service here is top notch as well as the fresh fish flew in probably that same day..! I like to start with some hand grenades and edamame! In the winter it's... More

Whoa – I could eat the chicken coconut lime soup every single day of my life! The $9 price almost through me off; however, the bowl was very large and well worth the amount. In fact, I am still thinking about it right now. The triple spicy tuna roll was very good, but too large to eat in one bite.... More

Sushi has been my favorite food since I was 4 years old, and I'm almost 20 now- Needless to say I know good sushi when I find it. The service was a little slow, but wasn't awful. The look and feel of the restaurant was beautiful. The rolls were very pricey but a pretty good size. I thought the Salmon... More
