I like this place OK- the service is normally pretty slow. They got rid of their best employee (the bartender) and their prices are WAY TOO HIGH- and the owners aren't friendly- when they're there.

If you're into Asian fusion eateries than this place is for you. When we originally did our research on eateries in Durango we either over looked this place or missed it because it wasn't on our list of places to check out but we're so glad that we did. We were told about this place by a local and we're... More

The sushi is very good. This is a local and traveler favorite. Make reservations, by 5:30pm on Thur, Friday or Saturday the restaurant is full. The sushi is worth the wait. Lots of attention to sushi presentation. The restaurant does have happy hour from 5pm-6:30pm, every day except holidays. The happy hour menu is limited but does have $3 ska... More

The food was amazing but the service topped that! Steve, our server, was very personable and recommended some awesome dishes. We will definitely return and will most definitely request Steve as our server. KJ Buhler

I liked everything! The lobster roll beautifully plated and so fresh I was afraid the mango might overpower but instead it and the other ingredients brought out the delicate flavor& freshness! The oysters were so good.My Husband also liked his sashimi rolls, calamari .The dessert was wonderful. Our server David was great very helpful and fun. This was my favorite meal... More

I live locally, and this continues to be my favorite restaurant in town. I have never had a bad meal here, and the cocktails are great. The Katoi Martini is wonderful. I wanted to add in this review that I recently had lunch here, and it too was wonderful. Lots of good food, great choices, and for $11.00, it can... More

I have been eating at East by Southwest since they opened and it was usually a treat. Food and service was always excellent and made up for the higher prices. In recent years the overall quality had seemed to decline but it was never like this. I moved away from Durango recently but I am currently visiting my family in... More

Our waiter Max was wonderful, prompt, and very knowledgeable of the menu. We have eaten in may different restaurants across the Nation and this was by far the best for service, food, and atmosphere. If one goes there ask to sit in Max's section.

While in durango we stopped in to visit . Decor was nice service was good but food was bland :( sushi was ok being from California it was nothing close and very expensive. Definitely not worth the price on anything, we should have waited 45 mins to eat at Steamworks. Probably won't ever go back.

First timer, impressive menu. We had a hard time choosing. Hostess and wait staff were friendly. I am a fan of Pho and eat it where I can find it. This was very good, the beef was very tender and well seasoned. Oh, and plentiful! The broth had a star anise note and the noodles were done perfectly. I really... More
