We were lucky to get a table on a Sat. night at East by Southwest. The place was hopping. We had a delicious dinner of assorted sushi and the brussel sprout chips (which were the highlight of the meal.) We thought the sushi a bit overpriced but can’t complain about the quality.

This restaurant has been good each time we have eaten here. The atmosphere is nice, and they have excellent steaks and a lot of specialty rolls. There are just little problems that seem to occur during every visit. By the end of our meal, we never feel it was worth the price. The 4 tops in the main room are... More

I've been to East by Southwest about four other times and each time it's been perfect! Tim was my waiter and he was attentive and personable. My food was amazing - carrot/coconut milk soup - best soup I've ever had, very fresh edamame, and yummy brussel sprout chips. Even the tea was special - great herb blend. Very pretty atmosphere... We go to Durango yearly and the past few years this was our favorite restaurant. We'd go two or three times in that week. The food was great but the service lacks a lot. This last time we went the food wasn't good, the service was horrible. The server/bartender seemed to talk to his regulars/friends and totally ignored us. We... More

Dear Julie, I would like to thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. Just to let you know that we have done some extensive training of our wait/bartender staff over the last several months. The bartender that took your order (not took care of you- since it was a disappointing experience) is no longer employed by us. He has... More

We went to this restaurant with friends and ordered appetizers and 8-10 rolls of sushi to share. Everything was absolutely phenomenal! They were a bit speedy but totally worth it. The Mule cocktails served in copper cups were awesome too.

The clerk at our hotel told us East by Southwest is her favorite restaurant in Durgano and I'm so happy we took her advice. The quality of the sashimi was some of the best my husband and I have eaten and we've been sushi lovers for over 25 years. We are casual people and loved the fact that jeans were... More

I really really love this restaurant and would love to give it 5 stars but I've been eating at this restaurant for as long as it's been open and the service just hasn't ever improved. Not only is everything extremely slow, the people are never very friendly and the restaurant is always too cold. The food here is absolutely fantastic.... More

All my friends ordered sushi. I prefer my meat cooked so I ordered steak. To my surprise it was the best steak I've ordered in a restaurant. I was very pleased. I'd definitely go back.

There is so much good stuff here, it requires multiple visits. You can feast on mains, or order a variety of rolls, etc. Don't miss the seaweed salad, and try the cones, wonderful!
