We went to this restaurant with friends and ordered appetizers and 8-10 rolls of sushi to share. Everything was absolutely phenomenal! They were a bit speedy but totally worth it. The Mule cocktails served in copper cups were awesome too.

The clerk at our hotel told us East by Southwest is her favorite restaurant in Durgano and I'm so happy we took her advice. The quality of the sashimi was some of the best my husband and I have eaten and we've been sushi lovers for over 25 years. We are casual people and loved the fact that jeans were... More

I really really love this restaurant and would love to give it 5 stars but I've been eating at this restaurant for as long as it's been open and the service just hasn't ever improved. Not only is everything extremely slow, the people are never very friendly and the restaurant is always too cold. The food here is absolutely fantastic.... More

All my friends ordered sushi. I prefer my meat cooked so I ordered steak. To my surprise it was the best steak I've ordered in a restaurant. I was very pleased. I'd definitely go back.

There is so much good stuff here, it requires multiple visits. You can feast on mains, or order a variety of rolls, etc. Don't miss the seaweed salad, and try the cones, wonderful!

High quality fish, in the middle of those giant mountains!!! take it from me, a picky sashimi eater. Their hibachi toro and salmon toro are to die for!!! I can't wait to go back again!

We always try to go here when in Durango because the food is excellent and because of the incredible variety on the menu; there is always something for everyone. Granted it takes a while to decide because it is extensive, but that is a great problem to have. Take your time. Order a drink in the meantime….We have never had... More

Took a few min for someone to seat us but they were very accommodating. Food was good, sashimi excellent, ginger carrot soup very good, calamari above average and their lunch menu was very modestly priced. Ambiance is odd, menu is a little confusing but overall a good spot/value.

A few weeks ago a submitted a not so positive review of this establishment. It solicited a well written and thought response by the proprietor. I have since re-visited East by Southwest and re-evaluated the food, service, and ambience. The changes and improvements were nothing short of significant. Perhaps we just had incurred a "bad night" on the previous visit,... More
