Great lunch with a friend!

I went to East By Southwest to have lunch with a friend. Amber, our server, made the lunch! They were out of several of the teas and they had changed their menu and the vegetarian spring roll is no longer available (very sad face). The carrot/ginger soup is amazing - the Brussel Sprouts chips... read more

Date night with my wife. We always love the collision of Michoican Mexico with Japanese culinary traditions. Sergio always impresses with new inventive dishes.

Love, love this restaurant! A bit pricey but so worth it. Great atmosphere for a date night or party. They also have other great dishes if you don't like sushi.

We were lookinf for an Asian type restaurant with an interesting menu. We found it. This place is beautiful and incredibly well run. We tried many dishes we have not had before and all were remarkable. The waitress was very helpful and the servie was very prompt. Very nice atmosphere. If we live here we would be back and back... The service here was lackluster at best even though it was not that busy. We ordered our food and my wife had specific requests such as no egg which was completely ignored and when it was returned from the kitchen, all they did was remove what was on top completely ignoring the fact that there was egg cooked into the... The service here has greatly improved since my wife and I had last visited. The food is always tasty and the lunch is a great price. At dinner this month, our waiter noticed my wife and I didn't like a certain dish and without hesitation he replaced it with another without us even saying a word. It showed our waiter... More

I loved the Vampirito. The green tea could have been better; did not steepen well. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I do prefer pink ginger versus tan-white, but that is hair-splitting.

I just dropped by ExSW for my regular bowl of tempura udon, but wound up enjoying their blue fin tuna which had just arrived along with some "ama-ebi" - still very much alive. What a pleasure: to live in Durango and to be able to enjoy fresh, premium seafood. Thank you Sergio!

If the food were better, the pretentious, poor, attitude-laden service would almost make it worth it. Texan tourists seem to love it.
