I was so looking forward to a lovely Thanksgiving buffet here, and was pretty much underwhelmed. We had a much better dinner (buffet) last year at the Doubletree. There was absolutely nothing that stood out here. The stuffing was so soggy that except for the sage taste, you wouldn't recognize it as dressing. The turkey was so-so, the potatoes were... More

Set within the historic Strater Hotel, this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiter, Nolan, "took care of us" with a genuine concern that we would enjoy our dinner. From recommending dishes that did not disappoint to keeping a watchful eye on our table needs, he was professional, energetic and happy to be serving us; it helps when the server clearly... More

We are locals and frequent many of the restaurants in town, but had never visited this one. Impressive setting, and very good service, but the food was just not that good. Salads were beautifully presented, but no flavor from the dressings. The steaks looked great and were perfectly cooked, but again no flavor. We do not mind spending, but we... More

Came to Mahogany for our anniversary meal based on a recommendation from a local. The service was very good (Brittany?), the food was very good, the atmosphere was very good. Shared a nice cup of soup of the day, the Elk tenderloin, fish of the day, no dessert and one glass of wine. Everything was good, I guess my only... More

The service was excellent but not rushed, the food was terrific, the cocktails imaginative and tasty, and the decor lovely. What's not to like?

Beautiful dining room with creative menu! We both had the tomato bisque and flatiron steaks - both were perfect. Seasonal pumpkin pie is to die for - light and airy with a maple laced topping! Perfection. Nice friendly service; perfect ending to a weekend in Durango.

If you yearn for a historic setting that still has good food, we found this to be perfect. The menu was a bit pricy but we felt it was worth it.

Having eaten here on previous trips we were hoping the quality of food had not declined. Not to disappoint, it was even better. My wife had the elk tenderloin and I had ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Had the breakfast buffet one morning and the omelet two mornings, High complements on all quarters. good selection of fruit... More

We came to this restaurant after a long day of driving, and wanted a good meal. We ended up being there nearly two hours. The food, once we got it, was very good. My husband got the elk steak, amazing, and I got the lump crab and shrimp stuffed Chile relleno. The waiters seemed extremely busy and distracted, we had... More
