Came to Mahogany for our anniversary meal based on a recommendation from a local. The service was very good (Brittany?), the food was very good, the atmosphere was very good. Shared a nice cup of soup of the day, the Elk tenderloin, fish of the day, no dessert and one glass of wine. Everything was good, I guess my only... More

The service was excellent but not rushed, the food was terrific, the cocktails imaginative and tasty, and the decor lovely. What's not to like?

Beautiful dining room with creative menu! We both had the tomato bisque and flatiron steaks - both were perfect. Seasonal pumpkin pie is to die for - light and airy with a maple laced topping! Perfection. Nice friendly service; perfect ending to a weekend in Durango.

If you yearn for a historic setting that still has good food, we found this to be perfect. The menu was a bit pricy but we felt it was worth it.

Having eaten here on previous trips we were hoping the quality of food had not declined. Not to disappoint, it was even better. My wife had the elk tenderloin and I had ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. Had the breakfast buffet one morning and the omelet two mornings, High complements on all quarters. good selection of fruit... More

We came to this restaurant after a long day of driving, and wanted a good meal. We ended up being there nearly two hours. The food, once we got it, was very good. My husband got the elk steak, amazing, and I got the lump crab and shrimp stuffed Chile relleno. The waiters seemed extremely busy and distracted, we had... More

We bought the dinner and a show package (Strater Theater), you had two menus to pick from for the package deal. The food was good but next time I would purchase them separately and take advantage of the full menu.

Between the hours of 5-6 pm, for $20 including tax(!) you get a choice of soup or salad, a choice between 4 entrees, and a choice between 2 desserts. The food was outstanding and generously portioned. The servers were friendly, helpful, and gracious. The décor in this historic property in the Strater Hotel is amazing! Stained glass, dark woods, very... More

First off - the food was good and the drinks were great. Neither my husband or I walked away hungry but we both noticed that the restaurant was trying too hard to "elevate" their entrees to the point that their staff couldn't quite get it right. We were sat in a small booth for two that did not give us... More

Paid too much money for what we received. The flash fried avocado was interesting and fresh as was the wedge salad. Ordered the halibut that had spinach that was gritty like it still had dirt. I ordered the crab and shrimp relleno, which was amazing, but the beans and rice were not even average. Rice was dry and the beans... More
