Alaskan crab and Prime rib were great, warm atmosphere, outstanding baked potato, and crab stuffed mushrooms with a nice kick were outstanding.

Our party of 6 arrived and was seated right away. Our server was very nice and did a wonderful job. We had 6 different entrees and all were excellent with the exception of the green beans not being cooked enough. they were still hard and cold! The trout was excellent and it is always a blessing to get a piping... More

My friends and I dined at the The Red Snapper recently. We shared the oysters Rockefeller as an app. It was okay. A little on the dry side. I chose the Ruby Red Trout for my entree. Trout wouldn't be a normal choice for me. I was pleasantly surprised. What caught my attention in the description was the crawfish sauce.... More

The second night, it was grandpa's choice to pick a restaurant and I chose The Red Snapper because it was the only place in Durango offering Cioppino. If you don't know, it's a tomato based fish stew with all kinds of fish and it's grandpa's favorite. The restaurant was a little more expensive than Carver's, where we went the first... More

This is the only true seafood restaurant in Durango the others are only pretenders. prices are not too bad considering you get food prepared by a chef that taste the way it should ! we have been coming to this restaurant for several years it has never ever been dirty or dusty don't believe everything you read this place is... While in Durango we went to the Red Snapper after riding the train. We got there in time for 1/2 off appetizers and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We liked it so much we stayed for dinner. Would have gone a second night if we ha been there.

Stay focused, look straight at those you are dining with and directly on your plate. Don't look over your shoulder, to the floor, the walls, the fixtures, the tops of the seats.... that dust is glued on, as if they haven't cleaned in a tremendous amount of time. Lunch was really good. The salmon was cooked to perfection!! The waitress... More

Always known for their seafood, I took my wife there for a special celebration a couple of nights ago. We both had the pistachio and coconut encrusted halibut as our entrée which was absolutely out of this world. Perfectly cooked and very nicely presented on top of--- you won't believe this--- mashed potatoes. I would never have thought that would've... More

This restaurant is a tad "off Broadway", or more precisely, about half a block away from the artery of the historic downtown Durango, but it is definitely worth a visit, if you are into a classy dining environment. We had our first visit a couple of days ago and ordered a salmon special and an ahi tuna steak special. The... More

I've seen other reviews for this restaurant that complained but I found nothing lacking. The steak was excellent, as was the service. The Manhattan I had could have been better.
