Fun place

This was right next to our hotel (Best Western) and we had a really great time here. The enchillads were very good and my husband had the chili (as in green chilis) burger and loved it. The drinks were genorous and the bartdender and local customers were super friendly.

Albeit I may be somewhat partial to a restaurant I've visited since my poor college student river guide days. This place is a true taste of Durango; people, atmosphere, quality of flood and ingredients as of course most pivotal, service. I recommend asking for Sean as he will always "remove the evidence" from having a good evening of affordable beers... More

We enjoyed the special tonight which was the Shrimp Empanadas with Cilantro Cream dipping sauce and the classic Rellenos. Both were prepared perfectly with good size portions. Wash these down with an Escalade Margartia made by Devin Feeney and you'll be impressed! Thank you Devin for the great service, margs and food!

Great Northern New Mexican food I don't need to go to the Shed in Santa FE NM We were in Santa Fe two weeks ago and was craving Mexican food thought is was better than Gazpacho and I was wrong.... Gazpacho is much better food and the service is nicer too.

The service was, as usual, great! (Thanks Sean!) I had stacked blue corn enchilada's with an egg and green chili. The hubby had rolled cheese enchilada's with red chili. Throw in a couple of top shelf margarita's and we were in Mexican-Food-Heaven!

I have eaten here 4 times since happening upon this place in Feb. ( I live 3 hours away). Each time the service has been good, and the food has been consistently excellent. This is New Mexican cuisine, not Tex-Mex or Mexican. The difference is related to the use of red or green chile sauces, "Red or Green" is the... More

My wife went to school here and she said there is a Mexican place that they went to 10 years ago and it was amazing...so I had to try it. The food and the drinks came out in lightning speed. Tried the gazpacho first and it was delicious. I then had the Santa Fe enchiladas and they were also great.... More

My husband and I enjoy Mexican food very much and over the years, have been to many. On past visits to Durango, CO, we have always made it a point to have dinner at Francisco's and did again this trip. Our friends also suggested we try Gazpacho, a new Mexican restaurant in town since our last visit. I can honestly... More

We love the great New Mexico style cooking like you find in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, but in general have not been able to find authentic New Mexican food since we have moved to Colorado. The exception is Gazpacho's Mexican Restaurant. They get many of their ingredients from New Mexico and don't water down the heat for the milder Colorado... More

The Fajatias are awesome! wish they had out-door seating, but the service is always great. Margaritas are awesome too!
