Gazpacheo provides excellent versions of all standard Mexican dishes. Very good ingredients, very well prepared and presented. We have always had extremely helpful and friendly service. The margaritas are also excellent. A nice touch -- not on the menu -- is a sampling of three different types of gazpacho.

The food was really good. I got the Mucho Grande Burrito with carne adovada. Wow, that was good. My wife had the stuffed sopapilla with shredded chicken. Again, very good. However the service was terrible. If you want more than one beer or margarita, order them all at the beginning because you will not see the server again after the... More

On the recommendations of the hotel clerk where I was staying, I visited Gazpacho while I was in Durango. Seems I'm on a never ending quest for the best chile rellanos whenever I visit northern New Mexico or southern Colorado. I was told they had good one's here - real stuffed green chile - not a poblano chile. I was... More

Classic Colorado-mex. I get the pork and red chilli something-or-other every time. My sweetie gets the stuffed sopapilla. Go there. You will love it.

We were hungry after our bus/ATV/train rides and wanted to "get a beer" before we went back to the motel. Walking along there was a sandwichboard with restaurant recommendations. After hearing that it was "one of the best kept secrets of Durango" and a locals hangout, we followed his walking directions and found it just around the corner from the... More

When you enter you definitely know you are in a Mexican restaurant. The smells and the décor let you know instantly. We were seated quickly. Our waiter came right to the table for drink orders and pointed us to a couple of brews we might enjoy. We all ordered lunch specials, one was a cheese enchilada with red chili sauce... More

I would really like an answer from the management because my friends and I used to LOVE this place. It used to be always consistent with great food, margs and services. What has happened? Can management please respond? Why has the service declined? Where are the frozen margaritas? Why do 2 ala carte tacos cost $8.50 instead of $2 each?... More

Newmexicolady, Gazpacho is not under new management. Let me start with the $3.00 chips and salsa, as you have made two posts about this. The chips are made fresh daily and served warm. The decision to start charging for chips and salsa was not taken lightly. We did much research into this, both locally and nationally. We ate at many... More

It's been a while since we've been there. Very disappointed to find that now they are charging $3.00 for a basket of chips and salsa. In the past, you got one basket free then paid for more. Before we went, I checked the http://www.durangomenu.com/ website and saw their menu and prices. Lunch specials were still $6.50. Got there and found... More

We have been going to Gazpachos for years, I swear the majority of the people I went to college with survived to Taco Tuesdays, the complimentary chips and salsa and the amazing Green chili Cheeseburger. The Green chili Cheese burger was the absolute best ever; it was a giant hamburger swimming in Hatch green chili and way too big to... More

Ok, so I am a local....... and we dine out often in Durango and Gazpacho's is our constant go-to for a fun way to relax either just for the awesome margs (Jim's Favorite) with the locals at the bar or to chow down on the Green Chili Cheeseburgers! If you are looking for a fancy dining experience, this wont be... More
