True New Mexican food, made by New Mexicans. Unpretentious, off main street place filled with locals--especially the bar. Best thing on the menu is the Santa Fe enchiladas with blue corn, carne adovada, and green chile. Everyone at first thinks this is a weird combination, but as soon as they try it they are addicted for good. The green chile... More

This restaurant served me the very best margarita I have ever had. I thought the food was too spicy but I find most of the Mexican food in the Southwest to be really spicy. We started with chile con queso and chips, tasty and not too spicy. I had the taco salad with shredded beef. The lettuce was wonderfully cold... More

We had dinner here the night we arrived. The food was delicious, and it was a Sunday night, so no wait for a table. Since the place was right next to our timeshare, we walked by it all the time and it was very busy.

Every time we go to Durango I have to stop here for my favorite dish, stuffed sopapilla! Their green and red chili is delicious! I definitely recommend trying their food if you get the chance! I also found out you can get pinto beans for the side if you don't want refried beans and rice.

Great eats! I love New Mexican style food. This place does it right. I had the veggie tamale plate, complete with rice and beans. By husband had the cheese enchiladas which he thought were excellent. If you can't handle a lot of spice, get the chili suaces on the side, because even the mild ones are hot! New Mexicans can... More

Had fast service and good food. I ordered the Green Chili Stew and loved it. My husband ordered the Gazpzacho Combo and he thought it was delicious. It was really close to where we were staying at the Wyndham Resort right next door.

A block away from the Wyndham and Best Western, conveniently located so you can have as many delicious margaritas as you want and walk safely back to your room. It is new Mexican cuisine, which is a little lighter and spicier than other Mexican. A stuffed sopapilla (sp) with pinto beans and hominy, not like in the south, was delicious.... More

Always busy this restaurant has good Mexican food a tad spicy but at a reasonable price. Approximately 1 block from Durango Depot on a side street.

There isn't much to say about this place except "It's excellent!" The food was superior to any other Mexican type food that I've ever had in a restaurant in the states. The New Mexican style is superb. Couple that with a courteous, organized staff and comfortable atmosphere and it's a very pleasant dining experience. Thanks, Gazpacho's!
