The name "Himalayan Kitchen" drew our attention, the menu drew us inside. Featuring foods from Nepal, Tibet, and India, this cozy restaurant offers something for everyone in the family. We started with a Mo Mo appetizer (we had a mix of vegetable, chicken, and lamb - All were great), and then we each ordered something different so that we could... More

Affordable, Ethnic, and Fresh. Our kids even like it now after years of protest. Our favorite dishes are anything tandoori, Lamb Saag, Kathmandu chicken, masala chicken and the house special pan fried noodles. We often hit up "The Kitchen" for lunch as their buffet always has excellent all u can eat choices for around 10 bucks.

Not to be missed. Authentic mouth-watering cuisine, friendly, helpful staff, made us wish we lived close by and could come here often. Handled a party of 15 without a hitch. The Bhaktapurae Chhoiia with chicken is awesome. Try it!!! This restaurant will be the culinary highlight of your vacation.

Wonderful variety of flavorful Himalayan choices in the buffet at Durango's Himalayan Kitchen. All you can eat and then some. Has plenty of vegetarian dishes if that's what you want. The Tandoori chicken is terrific. Recommended!

As a vegetarian, I usually eat at a Chinese restaurant because I can get dishes with tofu and vegetables, but this time we decided to try Himalayan Kitchen. We shared the Annapurna Tofu and naan bread. The tofu was fresh -not fried- and the vegetables were also fresh and had just enough spice! I appreciate being able to recognize the... More

Really good buffet and a charming gift shop next door (922 Main Street) Not vegetarian, but just no beef, but there are vegetarian dishes. If one likes more spicy flavors they can provide sauces that have that 5 alarm punch!

My sister-in-law is greeted like Norm at Cheers when she walks in, but even if that wasn't the case we would have had a delicious lunch. Our vegetarian daughter was in heaven, and our "just turkey and bread" son was pleased with the chicken. I loved it all, including the fresh fruits and vegetables.

We used trip advisor to find a dinner when we arrived in Durango. The reviews for Himalayan Kitchen were great so we looked at the menu attached to trip advisor. It shows all kinds of Chinese favorites which sounded great to us! When we arrived they were very friendly and attentive. Great drink choices and neat atmosphere. When we looked... More

Came across this place by accident while walking through historic Durango. Very much a pleasant surprise. There were four of us. We ordered Samosas for a starter. They were fried to a perfect golden brown. The sauce that accompanied them was very tasty as well. Two of us opted for the set menus - Daal-Bhaat Tarkaari. It was quite a... More
