Came across this place by accident while walking through historic Durango. Very much a pleasant surprise. There were four of us. We ordered Samosas for a starter. They were fried to a perfect golden brown. The sauce that accompanied them was very tasty as well. Two of us opted for the set menus - Daal-Bhaat Tarkaari. It was quite a... More

So many great dishes. Easy to pick the vegetarian dishes and geat chia tea! Great amount of food for the cost.

Mango lassi was very good. Try the sampler plate first then order what appeals at the moment. The rice dish with carrots, raisins, nuts has a great flavor. Check out their dishes with the Chef's "secret sauce".

My daughter and family moved to Durango, and every time I visit them(4 times a year) lunch at the Himalayan Kitchen is a must. I've been introduced to exotic foods(compared to restaurants I frequent in the Chicagoland area) that have been and are fantastic. Their combination of spices gives great flavors to their food. We always go to the lunch... More

This is an outstanding place for creative Nepal and Indiana foods. We had the Yak which had a excellent favor and the chow chow. The food was very uniquely flavored and had excellent taste. This was a enjoyable meal that exceed our expectations. Reasonable cost and great food

Wonderful lunch buffet at the Himalayan Kitchen on Main Street in Durango. It was our very first stop, and a sought after cuisine every trip we take. Many vegetarian options and not disappointed at all.

After a very long drive, and quite hungry, I was excited to stumble upon this restaurant. I just missed the lunch buffet, which would have been nice to sample their many offerings, but I was not disappointed in my solitary entree - lamb korma. The lamb was perfectly marinated and grilled, and the sauce was a wonderful sweet and savory... More

My son and I had dinner here while on vacation and we both thought it was very good. We had the Lamb Momo and Malai Kufta and a sampler starter - they were all very good. The service was friendly but they clearly wanted us to be quick so they could close up.
