Excellent food.

The food was excellent. Servers were quiet but friendly. Prices were on the high side but this is Durango. Prices are high everywhere you go.

Thank-you. I was with 3 people...we had the priviledge of trying so many foods. I will always remember the Yak. The other foods were delicious too.

On a Friday nite we gave up trying to find parking in the muddle of the main drag. A block or so further north we spotted this place. The chef, Kharma, has an interesting story on the menu and abundant, carefully prepared offerings. A variety of meat dishes, but no beef. Yak stew was beef-eater hubby's choice. I went with... More

Loved this restaurant! We found a coupon in a Durango restaurant guide and decided to try it. We were very impressed. We saw that they had a Trip Advisor sign hanging up so that impressed me that they obviously had great reviews and their high rankings are well deserved. We would definitely eat here again if we ever return to... More

The Himalayan Kitchen is known for its lunch buffet, but I like to go at dinner too and sample the entrees. The owners are immigrants from Nepal who are very sweet and welcoming. They have been raising money for earthquake relief in Nepal. Nice people who make great food!

I go for the lunch buffet whenever I can, it's excellent. Lots of choices and not too expensive. (I would avoid dinner here, prices go up and it gets a little weird.)

There's just a weird atmosphere in this place. We were there at dinner, so the empty buffet was sitting at the back of the room. Good food, but pretty expensive. I guess a lot of people order the dish that comes out sizzling, because there's always smoke hanging in the air, and all you smell is that dish. The buffet... More

This was an extension of our beloved Indian food. We never eat the buffets so everyone ordered something different so we could try lots of dishes. The Nepalese staff was so warm and inviting. We gorged on yak dumplings and lamb. Also, the broccoli is a must try!

We enjoyed the lunch buffet here so much we decided to try it for dinner later during the trip. It just didn't measure up. The buffet prices are great, variety is good and all food is fresh and hot. At dinner the noodle dish didn't have the right kind of noodle, the vegetables were drenched in oil and the appetizer... More

Large menu, meal was good, but not exceptional. Compared to usual Chinese buffet was probability better tasting but many times more costly. Waitress who served us had a limited understanding of English, found it useless asking her inquires on menu items. Got the feeling she was uncomfortable trying to converse with us.
