Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

This is a brewery, but don't discount the food. I've enjoyed fish tacos and other dishes. Lunches are great but so is dinner.

This place was recommened to us by an old college pal. It was dirty and smelled funny! The beer tasted like it was watered down to stretch it further. We were highly disappointed and will not return.

We had dinner here last week while in Durango for a few days. Our server was Katie and she was very helpful with the beer choices. Dinner was delicious, service was great, it's a tad noisy but there were lots of families laughing and having fun which added to the atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a casual meal.

Steamworks was a favorite of ours when we lived in Durango, & it's the one place to which we always return when we're back to visit.

Quite possibly the BEST burger I have ever eaten (and I'm 65 years old!) was consumed at Steamworks Brewing Co. I also loved the Cajun Fries which I chose as my side dish. I recommend the Rico Burger .... it is a taste explosion :)

Good beer on tap, good happy hour prices on most beers, pretty good food. Service could be a bit more friendly. Will go back

A great local establishment with good food at reasonable prices. The bar scene is huge during happy hour. If service or the food is not up to expectations, be sure to tell the management as they want to know!

Always a good meal and nice regular folk eating a burger or Go gluten-free, eat a Cobb Salad, munch on free peanuts, try trout and mashers, nachos, pizza, and watch sports on the big-screens at the bar or a table. You can eat inside or out and get something fancy like seafood, brussel sprouts, New York Strip, or a dessert.... More
