Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

I should say that the Colorado Kolsch was great. The food on the other was a let down after waiting almost 45 minutes to get in. My choice of steak was wrong, the flat iron wasn't the best cut and I will probably have it done well. It was average even though we were told it was a great place... More

On this visit, the food was very good, but no more so than some other good restaurants. What stood out to me during our meal was the service -- not just for our table, but as I watched the overall service level in the entire restaurant. The servers seemed to back each other up and spent a large portion of... More

My wife and I visited on the evening of the 3rd Nov at the recommendation of the hotel staff. After finding a parking spot, we entered this industrial looking restaurant-open beams and pipes and concrete floor. Interesting for the eyes! Yep, someone had been drawing with chalk on the floor. Peanut husks all over. We were seated near the window... More

I moved in 2009, I loved the burgers they had and the bun was awesome. Anytime someone would ask for a burger I would send them this way.. I move back and the service is great, but the menu changed and it is no longer the same type place and $50 after tip for me and my wife (2) burgers... More

Great beer, but also a great place for family's eating out. Peanuts are great to start things off. Kids are allowed to draw with chalk on the floor. Lots of food item choices to please everyone.

Steamworks is awesome. Great food. Love the chicken and waffles and quinoa burger. Good atmosphere and great brewed beers. Only down side is long lines.

Loud pub atmosphere. Great for groups but might have to wait for a table. Wonderful beer samples. Fun staff. Perfect locale for a chill dinner after hitting the slopes at Purg

We visited Steamworks on a Sunday recently to watch some football and found the day bar staff very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the beer selection. The bartender even offered to let us sample a few. The Bleu Cheese Kettle Chips are amazing, a very filling snack for watching football. Although they aren't a sports bar, it would have been... More

Visiting Durango we thought we would visit a brewery for dinner. This one was downtown and looked interesting so we decided to check it out. There was no line when we entered and we saw 3 tables for 4 that were open in the bar area. We were told that we could not sit there since we were a party... More

This is probably the busiest restaurant in Durango. Prepare for a wait, but they will text you when your table is ready so walk down Main Street while waiting and enjoy. My daughter and I split a Cajun Boil. We added more shrimp and there was plenty for two of us . The waiter advised us well, as far as... More
