Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

The place is a great place to meeet friends for happy hour on Friday. The beers are fantastic, and the pizza is so good, we order it most of the time. But the rest of the food is excellent. The servers is quick and very friendly. I take my family when they come to town, they always like the food... More

Definitely a hot spot. Was told this place was the place to try. Very long wait so we just had a drink. Beers were fantastic. Bloody Mary's were spot on as well. Nearly half the tables we saw inside had pizza which looked amazing. Really wished we could have tried. We sat outside on the patio. No server but the... More

This place brews some great beers. They have a wide diversity, and also several unique, experimental brews that change seasonally. Food was also excellent. The best chicken cheesesteak I have ever had.

We happened to be here during bikers weekend, and we are not bikers, so theft was a lot of competition for food this evening. We love local brew houses, and we're lucky enough to walk into the bar and find two open seats, and avoided the 1 hour wait. I had the special, smoked Turkey leg with mashed sweet potatoes... More

My wife and I moved to Durango 3 months ago and have been to Steamworks at least 5 times already both with friends and just by ourselves. Great atmosphere. I really love the Face Plant lager but if they don't have that I usually go with the 3rd Eye Pale Ale. Their New England Clam Chowder is surprising really good.... More

Recommended from our Jeep Tour Guide. Unlike the Ore House recommendation this was another family restaurant with a wide food selection. I am not a beer drinker so I cannot comment on the Beer. However the food was great and again the server was knowledgeable of the selection on the menu. Prices again were reasonable.

We ate here one evening after spending all day riding the train. It was a short walk from the hotel. We waited about 15 min to get seated but there was a lady doing balloon animals outside. We ordered a meat pizza and my wife had a large salad also. I tried a Belgian ale and later the Third Eye... More

We had to wait for 20 minutes. They have a lot of good beers to choose from. Waiter gave us a good advise for the right beer. Food was ok. The children liked it to throw the peanut shells on the floor, although this make a messy impression to me. Restaurant is build around the brewery. A nice place to... More

Meal was average but had to wait 30 mins for table. Went on previous reviews but not that impressed. To noisy with children. Beer good, staff friendly. Service was quick.

This restaurant has many choices of beer and fabulous burgers. It also has a menu of everything from salads to full dinners. Very enjoyable. Always a stop when we're in Durango.
