Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

Great place for the craft beer lover...quite a few choices! This is a busy place, even during the week the place is hopping. There are peanuts for the taking while you are looking over the menu. The food was good and the service friendly. A nice place for families and couples.

This place has average food, it is very dirty and noisy. Prices are good, which they should be for such a dumpy restaurant.

We make it a point to eat here when in Durango. Food was good as usual and so was the beer. We had one problem, we left our credit card. Thankfully the waitress did turn it in to management, but it took several phone calls to get the card returned to us. We asked to have it federal expressed and... More

Not cheap but real good food and a friendly staff. I have been there many times over the span of several years and the food has always been consistently good and the service has always been friendly and courteous.

Busy place, 2nd time here. Consistent good food and service. Fan of the Cajun Boil. Order extra crawfish and crab! Really busy but good food and ambience. Old building, cool timbers, good micro brews.

Place was hopping. 15 minutes wait, we sat ourselves at the bar. 3 bartenders and they never stopped. Food was fresh, tasty and served hot by a runner from the kitchen. They accommodate large parties one looked to be about 20. Recommend Colorado cheese steak and meatball sub very good and filling.

After listening to live music in the square we went looking for food. This place was a few blocks away from the main drag but was busy and had a short wait. I liked that they took your cell number to SMS you when your table was ready so you could wonder further.

It's a brewery, but also good for family dinner. Excellent choice of quality beer. Food was excellent. Would recommend if ever in Durango.
