Need reservations! We didn't have a res and It's crowded, but they sat us at the bar for dinner. Great steaks! The bartender Martin makes some great libations! The staff and service was excellent!

My wife and I try to visit Durango whenever we visit Colorado. Since our son lives in Denver, that's fairly frequent. A must stop while there is the Ore House restaurant. Can't remember a better steak, prepared to perfection.

We LOVE the Ore House! Perfect special occasion restaurant! We came here for our 20th Anniversary last year and couldn't wait to come for our 21ST. We will defiantly be back :-)

I really could not say how big the place was but it had a wait when we arrived. After about 15 minutes we were seated at a small dining table near the bar. It was first available so we took it. No complaints about that. The menu looks inviting until you get a closer look at it and saw the... More

Great food, fun atmosphere & a wonderful evening! We enjoyed Chateaubriand for 2 which was cooked perfectly & absolutely melted in your mouth accompanied by asparagus, sautéed mushrooms & grilled onions with a bottle of wine. Menu indicated Bananas Foster was a dessert option but was not available the night we were there. :( Hostess & wait staff were friendly... More

We were told that this was the "don't miss" place to eat. The décor was old and tired. Servers were very inexperienced (looked like in their 20's) running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We were seated at our table what seemed forever before anybody came over with a glass of water. When the waitress finally arrived, she... More

We wanted to go to a steak-house, and found the offerings more than adequate in quality and preparation. The greeter and "maître d'" was delightful, but our server, although friendly, was somewhat lacking in competence. The prices were high, but not exorbitant. We will return, but not soon!

The Oar House was recommended, and we were able to make reservations at the bar. The steaks are excellent, but a bit pricey. The rest of the meal was OK, not great, and not worth the price, IMHO.

As we were looking for a good steakhouse in Durango were advised to go to Ore House. Although the restaurant was full they did find a table for us. The staff was courteous and efficient, the décor inviting and warm and the food first rate. Our filet mignons and mashed potatoes were prepared to perfection and the recommended shiraz wine... More
