Best beef ever.

Brittney our server was outstanding! Took care of us without "hovering", her timing to check on us was perfect. We decided to split a New York Strip steak. No problem, our steak was cut in half and served individually to us, The potato also could have been split since it was large, but on my... read more

We returned to the Ore House after having a fine meal there 2 years ago. This time the food was just average and the service was quite inattentive. Very disappointing. I wish we had made another choice

Food is really great, but you have to take the offerings as presented by the chef -- can't change what's on the menu. Our beef dish was superb, but the sides we just left. Prices were very high, compared to everywhere else we ate in the West. Why the quality that we ate was unquestionably superb, we wonder if it... More

I travel to Durango for work every 5 weeks. The only restaurant I go to every time I am down there is the Ore House. Besides the food being prepared perfectly, the wait staff is incredible too. The Rib Eye and T- Bone are two of my favorites. Appetizers are a knock out with a great variety. The Ore House... More

Pricey. The food is excellent. Liked the mussels (HUGE portion) and the sorbet was incredible. Mashed potatoes and roasted brussels were scrumptious.

After three years, returned to the Ore House. We had no reservation, but luckily they found us a table. We were lucky because the place was packed. Food was wonderful. First review praised the calamari. This time, I'm for the mussels. Very good. Filet one of the better ones I've had in awhile. I noticed negative comments regarding price, and... More

Arrived via Trip Advosor's recommendation, with no reservation. We were graciously seated, with no issues regarding reservation. Corey, our server was top notch. Friendly, well versed with menu. His table check timing was perfect. Outstanding soup, perfect mashed potatoes, fresh spinach all added to a great meal for Mr. And...excellent steak. I had the chicken cordon bleu. Beautiful presentation, but... More

This was my second visit to The Ore House and I was equally pleased. There is really no better restaurant in Durango (which is saying a lot since there are many excellent restaurants in this town). I started with the prawn cocktail - excellent, and my friend had the ceviche - which was the best ceviche either of us have... More

The stakes are just wonderful. They offer both dry and wet aged stakes. The portions are a good value. The staff is very knowledgeable about the stake ageing process and I have never received a poor recommendation. While a limited children menu is available and families are eagerly welcomed the prices are atmosphere are better suited for adults.

In April, we relived our dinner at the Ore House from our honeymoon 40 years ago. K.C. took our reservation and made us feel very welcomed. Our server, Kelly, provided excellent service with just enough of a personal touch. We each ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. The green chili mac and cheese was a very tasty accompaniment.... More
