We ate here one night based upon tripadvisor reviews. Although I have had better fillets, I have no complaints. The decor of the restaurant is very appealing and the wait staff is quite attentive.

We made a reservation and arrived early. We wanted to sit at the bar. OMG. The bartender was the greatest of all times. Very up on all the new liquors and knew the menu to a T. Service and food were top on our trip. Please put this on the menu when you travel to Durango.

We went there for a meal, quite late in the evening, and were pleasantly surprised by the great food. It was fresh, very tasty, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Ore House is our favorite "splurge" restaurant in Durango. They are passionate about their steaks and it shows. I had their special San Juan Sirloin with garlic potatoes and spinach, and my husband enjoyed the Teriyaki Prime Flatiron steak with a loaded baked potato. Both were delicious; especially paired with a nice local wine from their extensive selection. Before... More

Expensive and worth every penny. This is the top steak restaurant in Durango. The food was top notch, the wait staff was excellent. We sat right by the kitchen (which you could partially see) and Im not a fan of sitting right next to a busy spot but this was the best place in the house. You can watch how... More

The Calamari was creative and very tender. The salads were refreshing and cleansing. The Prime Ribeye was melt in your mouth, no exaggeration! Chicken Cordon Bleu bay leaf flavor was impressive. For finishing touches, creme brûlée, Tiramisu and truffle sealed the perfectly timed dinner with a lingering sweetness. A sprig of mint leaf brought the experience to a subtle close!... More

Okay, I grew up in Wyoming and know a little about steaks. This restaurant was way overpriced and the prime rib I had was mediocre at best. I thought about ordering the filet but the serving size (6 oz) is pathetic. Really? and to get two 6 oz. pieces, the price is over $50!!! It costs about that for a... More

The calamari starter was the best of i've had. Extremely tender. I have the 14oz ribeye, cooked to perfection. As for the desert, the banana foster is to die for. Drinks: Make sure to try out one or more of the cocktails. The bartender is very helpful is recommending other drinks as well. Service: Impeccable. This is definitely my favorite... More

Had a wonderful meal at The Oar House last night .. much improved from our last visit! Everyone enjoyed steaks and a few sides. The steaks were perfectly done, and tasted great! It was a Birthday, and the birthday recipient gets 'their age in percentage' off their own bill .. what a wonderful surprise for our Birthday Boy! Yes, it... More

We walked in without reservations around 6:00 PM. We were seated in a corner by the bathrooms. Quite noisy as there were a couple large tables in the room. We could hardly hear each other talk. Thought about leaving. We stayed and had a very good meal with a ribeye and my wife had Salmon. You must order sides to... More
