I have spent time in Durango since the 70's and ate here at the Ore House , it seemed like it was not as good as it used to be , was hot inside and way to many seats to be a good place to spend time in to eat , will not go there again.

My return visit and my wife's first visit proved to be very enjoyable. The food is always wonderful, and the atmosphere is "real Durango" . Highly recommended.

We had family from three different states aged tweenager to senior and all had a high-end experience. Great service. Wine was fantastic. Steak tied with my top place ever and I am very picky about my steak. Easy location to our hotel.

I went to the Ore House on the advice of a local whom I met on the way in. Exceptional food, but what I didn't care for was everything is a la carte. Really drove the price up. Oh - the Caesar Salad? Real Anchovies!..

The entrance to this eatery shows a welcoming and warm atmosphere but it is small. The waitress was friendly and helpful and when the NY strip steaks came out they were huge, the mash was lovely, the mushrooms very tasty and the Mac n cheese....macncheese is macaroni and recently Americans have replaced with all types of other pasta. It isn't... More

We only found this on our last day in Durango and we wished we had found it earlier as the two guys making cocktails are real artists. Food was pricy but definitely work going for the drinks.

Loved our steaks. They were cooked perfectly. For the prices, they could at least include a side with the steak. I don't think the starting lineup was playing the night we were there, as the staff seemed to be having quite a bit of trouble. At least they comped our drinks and realized they weren't on top of their game... More

We came here for a fortieth anniversary dinner, and had a bad case of sticker shocker. It's probably the most expensive place in downtown Durango. Nice steaks, great service, traditional steakhouse decor (mining theme) but I don't think it all justified the outrageous tab for just two people. Even if it was for a fortieth anniversary.

Absolutely the best! Ceviche was amazing best since the islands! Don't count the carbs and just enjoy the corn bread and leave the butter on... Worth the extra mile run you will take. The salmon was impeccable with a sweet tint. Ryan (manager) very nice and pleasant. Go visit From Texas that loves to eat :)
