just what i wanted

I'd had a couple of not especially good meals, Friday dinner at the Ore House and Saturday breakfast at Oscar's, so I was very glad to have a satisfying meal here at the Cyprus Cafe. I never saw the prior iteration, but I really liked the feeling of the new place, clean and contemporary but not... read more

We are regulars at Cyprus Cafe and enjoyed their remodeled interior just last week. Cyprus serves primarily local seasonal foods, supporting the local farms and ranches as well as bringing in seafood from local and outside areas. We had the Gosar Ranch chicken sausage with polenta and the Skuna Bay salmon dishes and they were absolutely wonderful as are all... More

The first night at the Cyprus Cafe was a lovely Mediterranean fish dish experience so much so we booked for the following night. The second night however was vastly different. We chose a roast chicken dish from the "Specials Board" but there was nothing special about it. The chicken had been roasted at least one, if not more days prior... More

Quaint place, charming and engaging staff. Really enjoyed the meal (gyro and falafels) and had a butterscotch flan dessert(awesome) and a recommended red wine which I wish I could remember the name as it was perfect for the meal.

Excellent food, friendly server and contemporary decor. For the last night of a ski trip at Purgatory, was looking for reasonably priced, high quality fresh food. Cypress Cafe hit the mark. Appetizer sampler with spanakopita, olives, hummus and pita bread was fresh and flavorful. Salmon in grape leaves was perfectly seasoned. Save room for the decadent chocolate desert! Custard with... Durango is full of interesting restaurants. Cyprus Cafe ranks right at the top. The food was flavorful. I had salmon stuffed with tapenade, feta, and lemon, and wrapped in grape leaves. It was delicious. For dessert, the walnut cake was a little dry - really needed a sauce of some kind. But the coffee was amazing - it's a special... More

Very nice woman who helped us, and she gave some good suggestions on the food. It was all wonderful.

I am a local and Cyprus Cafe's menu is a refreshing change of pace. Service is better there than many Durango restaurants, too.

I loved the local Short Rib dish I had there and loved siting in the velvet covered seating. The new interior and menu are creative, welcoming and unique. The cocktail menu is decadent and over the top tasty. Also had excellent service.
