I live locally and frequent Tacos Nayarit due to their delicious authentic Mexican food, friendly staff, and affordable prices. I'm consistently leaving there feeling satisfied and believing I made a smart decision. My parents are in town and I was trying to figure out where to go to celebrate my birthday. I spoke with my sister and boyfriend and we... More

We went with some friends, food was decent, nothing exceptional. Nice fish tacos, wasn't terribly impressed with the ceviche, but not bad overall. Huge margaritas. Simple decor, awful bathrooms. I hear it's popular with the locals but I would probably try someplace different next time.

We had been delayed on our cross-country trip, having to have our car repaired in Durango. We did not feel like dealing with the crowds of the restaurants in the touristy area of town. As we drove away from town we spotted this tiny place with several patrons (a good sign) and decided to try it. We were very happy... More

This place is DISGUSTING! The service is TERRIBLE, and the food is NASTY! Not to mention, every time the health department visits, there are many violations, things such as food not being held at proper temperature, bare hand contact with food, employees not washing their hands! GROSS!! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Loved the food and the service. My meal was so good, I forced myself to stop eating to save some for later. It was our favorite restaurant stop of our four week tour of Southwest Colorado.

This little place has great truly "Mexican" food. Just don't go for lunch when the high school across the street is in session as it gets over run at lunch time.

This small restaurant reminded us so much of the Huichol culture and area around Puerto Vallarta. The offerings are varied and the tacos are very good and a real bargain. They have cold Mexican beer on tap or in bottle and do try the flan at the end of your meal.

My son and I stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered a ceviche tostada and he ordered 3 fish tacos. We also wanted a cheese crisp or cheese quesadilla. I asked if we could just get a tortilla with cheese only because I didn't see it on the menu and the waiter said yes. The tostada was pretty good.... More

We were very excited to go hear because it was highly recommended by our local guide; however, the food, while authentic, was just ok.

Hands down, one of the best authentic Mexican food experiences I've had anywhere. The cachete and lingua tacos are amazing. The simple pollo and carne asada tacos are also amazing. Most that work here are actually from Nayarit Mexico, and the flavors reflect this. All of the foods specialties menu are sea food and delicious at that. Margarita's as big... More
