We went there after coming from Monument Valley a dry Navajo Tribal place and we wanted to have a drink. The Office was a great place awesome Margherita Pizza.

This cute little bar is filled at happy hour with people touring Durango. It is quaint and has music in the evenings. The house wine is nothing to get excited about so order a mixed drink. The ceiling is really a beautiful collection of wall papers artistically arranged. Aside from the main floor there is a small overlook above the... More

I felt like I'd stepped back in time, somewhere to the high class hotel of Durango's past, with miners who'd hit it big in the goldfields would go to spend their wealth. The decor is beautiful. Woodwork, French wallpaper, gold leaf. I had a Sazerac cocktail which was very tasty. My husband and I ordered two appetizers: the wild mushroom... More

We're big fans of historic (Victorian) hotels in the USA and will try to stay when we are near. The Strater apparently has pet rooms, but only when available. The restaurants had a small seasonal variation and we missed the Mahogany becase it was closed Mondays. The Saloon was to busy. "The Office" was also busy, and only adequate. It... More

During an overnight stay @ The Strater Hotel we opted for a light dinner with drinks in The Office. The place was packed for happy hour so we chose the intimate VIP section, which offered a quieter setting with great music and Wade who was our friendly server. The Cosmos and food were excellent.

Small, intimate, comfortable. I love the office. It's my favorite place to get an appetizer and a martini. It's pretty much always happy hour, they always have a great deal going on.

We had a very good time in this bar with friendly bartenders. Excellent live music so we decided to eat something. Good choice of food. The quality was not what we expected.

I spent a night in Durango recently and though I didn't stay at the Strater, I had to check it out, so I decided to head over for a drink and some dinner in the bar (or one of them). I wandered in not knowing the lay of the land and was immediately greeted by a friendly bartender who offered... More

The bartenders are charming. The drink cocktails are fun. The whole atmosphere was great. Live music (one acoustic guitarist) perfect for tiny room.
