We ate two meals at this restaurant and have no complaints. The food was good with adequate proportions and good quality. It was convient with a great river view

My wife and I have just spent a week in Durango, Colorado. Great place and lots of good places to eat. But the Animas River Cafe is a really nice change of pace from the Historic Downtown hubbub, and even from some really great places where the locals eat. The Cafe is on the Animas River (you probably already figured... More

Loved this little place tucked away along the river with great views. Food was terrific, too. Great couples date place while the weather is nice

Not the cheapest place in town...but nothing beats the scenery outside on their patio - pay a couple bucks more for the atmosphere and tastier menu...well worth it!

The Doubletree Hotel sure doesn't take the opportunity to make this restaurant happen. The location is the best in our beautiful town but the service is consistently sketchy. The food is good and out of the same kitchen as the main restaurant inside. We had a burger and a grilled chicken sandwich. The potato chips are brought to the table... More

I enjoyed going to the double tree. It was relaxing and the river is right behind it as well as the river trail. I recommend the river cafe. My server, fletcher was excellent. He kept it very professional but still up beat and funny. I would go back for their fish tacos and good service.

Great food and a great place to just hang to watch the Animas River go by with all the rafters, kayaks while eating great food and cold beers.

We went in a little after 11 am for lunch after checking out of our hotel and with long drive ahead of us. The river location looked great ; I expected average or better for service since this is affiliated with Hilton and that's been the case in other Hilton restaurants. We were barely greeted; the 2 waiters and 1... More

Tried the ale battered fish with a Durango Tru Blonde brew while sitting along the Animas river watching tubers and paddleboarders make there way downstream. We got there right at closing time and they still served us with a smile and gave us info on the town and where else we might like to spend time. Most friendly and relaxed... More

We stayed at the Doubltree Durango and on our last night we decided to give the small riverside cafe a try on our last night. First, its a very casual dining experience, but we were surprised that they had live music on Saturday night. It was fun listening to music and watching the water rush by us on the river.... More
