We went in a little after 11 am for lunch after checking out of our hotel and with long drive ahead of us. The river location looked great ; I expected average or better for service since this is affiliated with Hilton and that's been the case in other Hilton restaurants. We were barely greeted; the 2 waiters and 1... More

Tried the ale battered fish with a Durango Tru Blonde brew while sitting along the Animas river watching tubers and paddleboarders make there way downstream. We got there right at closing time and they still served us with a smile and gave us info on the town and where else we might like to spend time. Most friendly and relaxed... More

We stayed at the Doubltree Durango and on our last night we decided to give the small riverside cafe a try on our last night. First, its a very casual dining experience, but we were surprised that they had live music on Saturday night. It was fun listening to music and watching the water rush by us on the river.... More

This is a seasonal patio restaurant right on the river! The food this year seems to be much better than previous years. My friend and I stopped while bike riding the river trail and had some yummy sandwiches. Good service too!

We loved sitting next to the river watching kayakers, floaters and bicyclist/runners. Food was good not great. Price was OK. Live music was nice, but a little loud. Great local.

We were looking for a family friendly restaurant on the River in Durango. We made reservations (for a Thursday evening) although it did not appear we needed them. It is a beautiful location right on the river and we saw several canoes and river rafts as well as cyclists and joggers on the trail besides the river. Four kids &... More

Stayed at Doubletree Hotel and restaurant is connected to hotel which usually means overpriced and so-so food. Not so. Great breakfast...made to order omelets and waffles. Good dinner when you are to tired to go out on the town.

I loved going here for my birthday this year. So much that we returned several times before the patio closed for the winter. Lunch was really tasty! Great value and great food! Burgers are good, fish and chips is REALLY tasty! Waitresses were really friendly!

The Animas River Cafe is definitley worth a visit if nothing more than for the stunning view of the Animas View River. It is outside seating which can be limited at times. It's usually best to visit during off peak hours. Simply put, the food is very good but the view is even better. The fish & chips were delicious... More

The servers have to bring the food from the Doubletree Kitchen so the service is slow but if you are not in a hurry, the food is good and the view of the Animas River is lovely. We enjoyed our lunch there.
