Perfect fun dinner for our family of 4

We loved that the Diamond Belle Saloon is attached to the Strater hotel, where we stayed for 3 nights in July. The Old West decor was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip "out West." It was just OK. It took a long time to get served and our food. We had the French dip, the burger, Cobb salad, Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken Stripes. A little pricey too, for what you got.

This looked like a fun place for happy hour. They have a piano player and staff is dressed in old-time Western garb. We split a burger which was delicious;however, our waitress seemed more interested in serving the regulars (it was a Friday and the bar was packed with them). She was seen behind the bar making drinks for one of... More

We went looking for some atmosphere and a nice, but reasonably priced dinner. We found it here at the Diamond Belle Saloon. We went in and found it to be very small, but it smelled devine so we decided to put our name on the list. The hostess was very friendly and informative and told us we could wait right... More

The atmosphere here is really neat... A western bar in the historic Strater hotel. We both got steak and it was tasty and price was reasonable.... They usually have entertainment too.

The Diamond Belle is a great place to hang out for a few drinks in Durango. I always enjoy the ragtime pianist hammering on the keys. The food was good and fast, the drinks are served fast and with flair!

Had the best hamburger (San Juan), that I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of hamburgers in my 70 plus years.

My husband and I stayed at the Strater Hotel June 30/July 4. We ate in the Diamond Belle our first evening there. Both had salads, which were pretty good. It's a bit pricey, but if you want to soak up a really cool western atmosphere, it's worth a stop.

The place is a cute representation of the period with decor and costumes, but not over the top. Loved the wide variety of creative dishes with several excellent vegetarian choices. Faro stuffed poblano pepper was very tasty. Service was a bit slow, but could have been because of the holiday weekend.

Truly atmospheric bar. We loved the history, it was great fun and the band was fantastic (they played every Sunday I think).
