good meal, free music

I would say the food is upscale pub food, we both had the pot roast, and it was delicious. I tried one of the cocktails, and it was good, but a bit steep for the price of $6 Servers wear olden-timey western costumes, it's not too loud even with the live music.

It was a really interesting bar but don't go if you want to eat anytime soon. We ordered and it took for ever. The salad was good but then we waited and waited. The waitress actually was going off her shift. Before our food was delivered. We ordered the hamburger with a special mixture of meats. I don't know you... More

The Diamond Belle Saloon, located in the Strater Hotel, vintage 1898, was not an original occupant of the Strater. But it looks and feels like it could have. Right down to the period costumed waitresses and bartenders. The ambiance is great, the food is good, and there is always live entertainment. Quality live entertainment. The Diamond Belle Saloon lis a... More

The legendary Diamond Belle is in the centre of Durango and provides nightly live Country and Western entertainment until 9.30 pm. There is an upstairs balcony overlooking the busy bar and meals are also available. It is part of the old Strater Hotel built in the 1880's and there is a lovely old dining room, lounge and and another bar... More

The easiest way to turn a very good burger into just a fair burger, is over cooking it, in my opinion. Their signature burger ($$) had all the right ingredients to be great, but cook a burger ordered as medium-rare to well-done and you just ruined it. Too bad, it had all the potential. Interesting bar and local entertainment.

Okay, I have now eaten here several times, and I have had the diamond belle burger twice. I honestly have to double check that I wasn't exaggerating, but this is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in a restaurant! Pros: Great ambiance--the woodwork behind the bar is one of a kind, the balcony looks wonderful, and the... More

We've been to Durango many times but have bypassed this place because it looked so "touristy". Mistake! Okay, maybe it is touristy, but it's a hoot. It looks like your stereotypical "wild west" saloon down to the servers' dress. We were there for the live music, which was surprisingly good. I'm not normally a fan of "cowboy" music; yes, these... What a fantastic piece of American Western culture. I make it a point to stop in the Diamond Belle every time I am in Durango. The drink prices are quite reasonable and the foo is equally as good. Try the wings, they have a different twist from standard fare and are quite nice. Happy Hour is always a good time... More

Our family group of 8 adults, 2 three year olds, and a baby had gone to Durango over spring break. We had inquired with a local about a good place for lunch and they recommended the Diamond Belle saloon in the historic Strater Hotel. They have lunch specials until 3 and offered a good variety of selections as well as... More
