Don't miss Sunday afternoon

We visit Durango every year and always reserve at least one Sunday afternoon for the Irish Embassy pub. On Sundays they have a jam session for Irish music (the kind you would hear in a pub in Ireland). The musicians entertain themselves as much as the patrons. The food is more or less typical... read more

Straight from the airport we spotted in for lunch. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Great fresh food! Very attentive service. Wish I had room for dessert!

We have been to Ireland, and this place could BE in Ireland. The owner/bartender took quite a bit of time to visit with us as we sat at the bar with a black-and-tan and Tullemore Dew waiting for our bacon-wrapped shrimp (all of which was very good). They did build it to be as authentic looking as possible in this... More

This Pub could be a leading reason for us to make a return visit to Durango. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, and the employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

We stopped in on St. Patrick's Day and were very pleased when we could actually get inside and eventually get a table. Despite the obvious bid crowds the service was pretty good and the servers and barkeeps were hustling big time. The food was quite tasty as were the black and tans, Guinness and Smithwicks. Good time all around.

Our family ate at The Irish Embassy Pub last week. I had the Beer Battered fried fish, and it was great...hugh, but great. I could only eat one. My husband had the Shepherd's Pie. He thought it was good, but I like my husband's homemade version better. The service was alright... After our food was delivered, our server didn't check... More

We went on a Sunday and found out they had a Live Band playing all sorts of Irish music. Two of us ordered their famous fried fish plate. It was huge. We could have shared one plate but it was so good we finished every bite. The wait staff was outstanding and brought everything to the table quickly and refilled... More

We were the only ones in the front area. We didn't get silver wear...we didn't get plates for the five of us so we just hand nacho everywhere... they were slow with refills and took forever for the appatizer.... the servers were not very friendly and we had to go ask for stuff. Also we watched our server chat with... More

My husband and I tried this place out because our hotel front desk recommended it. It's a Sunday, a band was playing, bartender was excellent, food had flavor. We loved it! Our bartender, Emily, helped us with our order. We ordered the Mum's Pot Roast, luckily we shared it-it was a lot of food for the money. The owner even... More

We live in Farmington NM and Durango is about an hour north so we went north to see the snow and to have lunch. I have been told by many acquaintances that you cannot go wrong with any restaurant in Durango so we got there mid afternoon and finally found parking on Main street and saw this pub. I love...
