A Favorite Haunt

We frequent this restaurant for their Monday fish and chips special. And we are not the only ones! It used to be half price but now $4 off. Bummed about that but the fish is cod and one order is enough for two though one might want to order extra side of slaw. Happy hour makes having a beer... read more

We stopped here for dinner because my husband likes beer . . . He had the fish and chips and said it was the best he'd ever had. I had the Irish Pot Roast and it was out of this world. I would definately make this my first meal stop if we are ever back in Durango. They had run... More

Wife and I were wandering through Durango and stumbled into The Irish Embassy Pub. It was pretty busy and in one of the most unusual twinges of "bar mind freeze" we hadn't a clue what we wanted. Didn't faze Evan a bit, even though he was busy and working hard. He took the time to make some suggestions, discuss the... More

You would think this would be a fun place, but it was a big disappointment. Pretty on the outside and inside but don't get beer! The Smithwicks Irish Red Ale was very watery and had none of the creamy head that it should have had. The bar food is passable, but if the beer is bad, the whole experience is... More

This was the only place in town that was showing the Women's World Cup or we wouldn't have stayed. The beer was bad and my margarita came in a pint glass. We watched the match and then left.

This was very yummy, home-cooking! My husband had the Shepherd's pie and I had the Mum's between the Buns! Really good food and great atmosphere!

We stopped here just before the kitchen closed based on a recommendation from a friend. I am so glad we stopped. My son had the chicken pot pie which was the best one we have ever eaten. It was not served within a crust, but topped with a generous square of puffed pastry. So tasty! The bangers and mash with... More

Have been here many times and never dissappointed. Best time is hitting the pub when live Irish music players are practicing. Second best is anytime you want a great fish fry or Irish comfort food. Very good bloody mary and ale selection. Excellent service. Always friendly, home bar feel. This is one of my regular stops.
