Food is a bit too "stylish"

A group of friends decided to eat here as we thought the ambiance would allow us to have a conversation without shouting over a din. We were right! I had read the Trip Advisor reviews and based on other's reviews thought I would try this restaurant. All the other reviewers were correct this is one fantastic restaurant. I was greeted upon entry, seated promptly, offered coat service, and the waiter was there pronto. He knew his products and offered prompt service. I had the special sushi of the... More

In town and downtown for a walk, looking for decent place for a solo happy hour that was not deep fried and luckily ducked in here. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and menu selection. Being somewhat of a non-traditional diner, I chose the Warm Beet salad for my appetizer and found it to be fantastic. I had a... More

Went in for happy hour and had drinks and the best burger I have ever had all for under 25$. The entrees are generally pricey, but happy hour has really good prices. The staff are always really cheerful and friendly.

We went to this restaurant expecting excellent food based on the reviews. It was by far the worst and most expensive dinner we had in Durango. The appetizers and sushi were terrible. Entree was average and dessert was pretty good. The Toro had no fat. It was a very cheap cut. The oysters were warm (with popcorn?!?) and made 3... More

We go out to eat a lot, and this was probably one of my favorite dinners this year. Whenever we travel we try a small local restaurants, and the food and service at Eolus was outstanding from A-Z! Local ingredients, creative menu and great execution.

Eolus is the best in Durango! Expect high quality food that is prepared with care. The excellent service is also consistent and a welcome change from the "get em in, get em out" mentality of other restaurants. Standouts include the hanger steak, seafood stew and grilled salmon. We also like the warm beet salad as a starter, along with the... More
