Very upscale establishment in and small town

This was a surprisingly nice place in a small western mountain town. Their menu was varied and sophisticated, though rather pricy. We ordered 2 apps, 2 drinks, 2 meals (my wife and mother-in-law shared a meal), 3 desserts and everything was very tasty, if not absolutely wonderful. The tab with tip... read more

Probably the best meal we've had in Durango all year. Delicious fish, scallops, Bert salad and dessert. Even more impressive was the first-rate service from Josh, our waiter. In a town of largely indifferent waitstaff, having the kind of service you expect in a big city is a pleasant change and puts Eolus at the top of the list in... More

Atmosphere was trendy, pleasant and staff truly nice. We were early and within minutes our booth was ready. Waiter, Ryan was very attentive but rushed just a bit. We had a great time and they sushi appetizers was 'amazing' . I could've had just that but shared with my husband and friends! Nice brisk walk from the hotel and would... More

Walking on Main St. we stopped in to warm up and have a couple of martinis to take the chill off. The waiter was great with a good sense of humor. The martinis were ice cold and smooth on the Platte. We check out the dinner menu and the entrees seemed a bit over priced. Maybe next time.

My husband and I were visiting Colorado for the holidays (including my birthday in late December) and asked locals for suggestions. Eolus was a favorite, so we called that afternoon and got a reservation for two at 7:30 pm on a Tuesday evening. The host was super friendly, the specials were amazing, and the service was fabulous. It felt trendy... More

We had a very special dinner here. Excellent service and food. Quiet mid week night and we were very well taken care of. Great steaks and seafood and the beignets might just be a little better than the famous ones in New Orleans! A great place for a special dinner.

Went for happy hour. Had a sushi roll and some seafood chowder. Both were excellent. Also had a special martini. Was actually very good.

I have enjoyed Eolus many times and always try something different. I love the steaks and the seafood. In the warmer months, the rooftop dining can't be beat!

The duck breast and its accompanying bed of rice was so terribly salty that it was inedible. The wait staff offered to replace it. I asked to speak with the chef, as to why he would serve anything so inedible. He appeared and made platitudes, implying that it was my fault that I didn't like salty food. My husband had... More
