Good Even When Busy

We came on a Saturday evening, and while they were under staffed and seemingly overwhelmed the sushi chefs were friendly and the sushi good. Generous but not too large portions of fish for the nigiri sushi and neat, well-sized rolls. Sit at the sushi bar and the chefs will attend to you - fun to... read more

We had already eaten, and were just walking around town when we found this place. But, for some reason, we went in anyway, and we loved it. Right off, a gentleman came to our table with hot towels to wipe our hands. Then, since it was happy hour, we were able to order great "vegetarian" sushi off the menu, and... More

You probably don't think of Sushi when you think of Durango, CO but it was my college son's choice and it was fun dining experience with delicious food. Don't be surprised when you walk in and the chefs start yelling something at you then they say hello in English. We sat at the counter and enjoyed them them making all... More

They got the order wrong, food tasted fishy and flavorless, almost no salt on the edamame. The miso soup was not very good. The waitress brought back the credit card slip and it was charged double the actual bill. Fortunately, I caught the innocent mistake, but they really need to step up their game if they want to stick around.... More

Being this far from the see I should have known better. My wife and 3 1/2 year old sat down on the sushi counter. We ordered several things to start, some sea bass nigiri and Salmon Sake. Also ordered some gyoza for my son. The gyoza was inedible , it literally made me gag, my son wouldn't eat it either,... More

Food here is so much better then east by Southwest. Cute little restaurant and great sushi and all at great prices. Kid friendly and easy on the bank. We will definitely be visiting again ;)

Originally went to another Sushi place across street, but they had 45 minute wait. Went to Sushitarian instead, excellent sushi, great miso, and great service. Also liked the casual totally laid back funky decor. Good value for five of us. We will be back for sure!

We decided to try the Suishitarian one evening. The restaurant was not crowded but it took over 10 minutes before the server even acknowledged our presence. We ordered some drinks and reviewed the menu. My wife loves sashimi so she ordered the Sashimi Sampler and I ordered the Tempura Shrimp. Both dishes came and we were extremely disappointed by the... Wow! Some of the best sushi I've had in awhile -- and in Cowboy Town, too. Great new sushi chef. Order from the menu of sushi specials. Some very imaginative new sushi cuisine. Can't go wrong with the classics, either.
