Portions are very big and not overpriced. The place is always packed, but the wait time is not long at all. Very friendly staff and be prepared to leave with a to go box!

The Model train circles over head and as you enjoy your meal. The space is small, the portions big, and the service comes with a smile. All the menu items I have tried are wonderful. The green chile omelet is super and so is the BLT and any of the burgers. The fries are seasoned and hot out of the... More

You cannot go wrong here. This is a mom-and-pop diner with stellar homemade food. Don't miss the cinnamon rolls, the green chile, the pies, the homemade breakfast potatoes, and the little train that runs the track overhead. If it isn't running, just ask. I cannot say enough great things about this sweet little place!

A very neat 'diner' with great home made breakfasts! The cinnamon rolls are big enough for a family to share just ONE :0) Good coffee. Good service. BUSY place. Go early or wait in line and it IS WORTH THE WAIT! Kids will enjoy the train that runs around the entire perimeter of the restaurant - up near the ceiling.... More

We were visiting Durango and decided to visit Oscar's because of the Trip Advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. The breakfast was very good and there was more food than we could reasonably eat. The diner is an interesting place with all sorts of memorabilia and even a train going around the walls. We were there on a Thursday and the... More

We ate here on recommendation of the camp host, Rick, at Lightner Creek Campground. The breakfast was great, the diner was a hoot, lots of old time memorabilia everywhere, and watching the other patrons was great fun. Kids, mountain men (and women), tourists and regulars. Just lots of fun and good diner food. It's a small place, so you may... More

Great meals at a reasonable price...Killer pies. The place will make you feel at home. Reminds me of what Durango used to be like and worth going out for.

Just a typical local diner. Nothing special. Cool inside decor. Busy. Pancakes are good and so are the hash browns. Just know that this is a diner so go in with that in mind. Coffee not good though.

We were looking for a new place to enjoy breakfast and read the high ratings of Oscars, so thought, why not? The diner is very narrow and tight seating (hey! it's a diner!) with a cute little train on tracks that runs around the top of the walls. If you like biscuits and gravy, store bought (not farm fresh) eggs, then... Classic diner with outstanding food. Ate breakfast at Oscar’s in Durango. Had the Santa Fe special: Hashbrown pancake with onions and sausage, topped with 2 eggs and hatch green chili sauce and a tortilla. YUM!
