Lunch items are not as good as the breakfast offerings, and breakfast is only served for a part of the day. It can be crowded, get there early to ensure a table.
Finally got to eat here again. Excellent! First time I had coconut cream pie and a big huge omelet for breakfast that was 3 years ago on vacation. Back again for vacation and took the family. Great french toast, crab omelet and just darn good diner food.
Get there early! Small local diner with great food! Lots if locals/ lots of good choices in menu, great pies, many choices. My family enjoyed their meals very much too! Ate breakfast at about 10:39 am!
We stumbled upon Oscar's after shopping at Ace Hardware. The food is incredible and the service was outstanding! The Santa Fe breakfast was on special and we're so glad the waitress told us about it. The atmosphere is also awesome! We recommend this little diner to anyone looking for a good breakfast experience.
Food is always good, fast and plentiful. Huge menu with many options. I was a little horrified to see the server messing (extensively) with her hair and then not washing her hands. She prpeares the toast and etc. on the side. Does not take American Express Cards.
No place is ever perfect always. Keep that in mind when reading the average reviews on here. This time I had lunch, ordering the club sandwich. Huge and tasty, just watch out for the toothpick. Since the sandwich is so large it seems to get lost in it, so don't eat it too!! If you don't order something with green... More
I had a good breakfast at Oscars. The french toast was great. However, the place was not very clean and the servers were super busy. If you don't mind that, you will get a full tummy but it is nothing out of the ordinary and I was misled by the trip advisor ratings.
Have spent the last week here in Durango. We were given really good recommendations by our hotel and the Visitor Information Centre for breakfast, lunch and dinner - on morning 3, we discovered Oscar's and have only done breakfast here since. Four mornings of magnificent tasting, generously portioned breakfasts, and extraordinary service from all the staff; not only are they... More
A step back in time when diners were everywhere. In a strip mall near City Market and Rite-Aid, so not as convenient for Main St. Tourists . This is more for locals, and similar to The Durango Diner on Main St. Excellent sandwiches and soups. It's a "people watching" Mecca, for sure. If you want to see real Durango folks... More
We took the train and our attendant raved about breakfast at Oscars. We walked easily from the Strater Hotel. It was worth the walk. They are easily outgrowing the facility as people were lined up waiting. The food was delicious and fresh. There was an enormous amount of it. We walked back a little slower...
