We have Trip Advisor to thank for this wonderful find, as it's in a nondescript shopping strip. Every item of our breakfast was well prepared. My scramble had cheddar and jack cheeses and was topped with avocado and crispy bacon--outstanding! My husband's ham steak was a winner, too. Although our server was extremely busy, she kept our coffee refilled and... More

We went here for lunch one rainy Durango day. This place is tiny with a counter and not many tables. This is a traditional diner at its best. The food was good, the service was friendly. The only drawback is they don't serve breakfast after 11 and I wanted breakfast for lunch.

Locals directed us to Oscars and it was a hit! Fantastic breakfast with a lot of homemade great flavored choices. Only open till 3 may be back for those great looking cream pies! A must 50's style cafe to stop in while your in Durango.

This is our breakfast choice when in Durango. Skip the continental breakfasts at the hotels and treat yourself to a great experience. The open early and fill up fast, mostly with locals who are very engaging with the travelers. We have always had excellent food and service. Their fresh baked cinnamon rolls and pies appear to be very popular (we... More

Voted number one for a reason. We went once and it was so good we went back two more times. The locals go there too! Great service, neat memorabilia and fantastic breakfast.

No better way to start your all-American celebration than at Oscar's Cafe in Durango. While on honeymoon we were lucky enough to get a seat at the counter. The food was awesome - traditional american but in huge portions, served by real live waitresses in cool retro uniforms... the decor is amazing, a huge collection of retro and vintage toys,... More

We have been to Durango a number of times, but hadn't found Oscar's till this trip. What a delight! It reminded both of us of "the good old days." This small diner serves great food in a traditional atmosphere with great service. We were delighted.

One for the best diners I have visited. Great service, atmosphere is fun and colorful. Great choices on the menu. Went our first time for breakfast and it was as good as everyone has said. Great diner.

If your hungry you will get filled up, guaranteed; the portions are on the big side. The Green Chile Verde Chili was unbelievably good. I found myself scooping this green chili into my mouth as fast as possible and thinking that I'm at a loss to describe how good this is...incredible! I ordered the Green Chili Chicken sandwich melt and... More

I highly recommend Oscar's Café for Breakfast (and lunch) as it is great food, great portions, great service and excellent customer service, and such a fun atmosphere! It is like a trip in time - a bit "retro" in design, with seating a bit close - as is the case with a small eating establishment and a fun/entertaining interior! I... More
