Good barbecue

We went here for dinner after driving by it on our way into town. It was good food with good service. It was nice not having to go into downtown on a Saturday night.

Third visit in three years. Very competent BBQ. We stop on our yearly visit. We split a rack of pork ribs. Good smoke and flavor. I added a quarter pound of sausage and a side of slaw. If the weather cooperates sit out on there patio. Great views of the animas river below.

I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was really good! Our family all liked their food--a lot! The BBQ sauce on our table was a big hit and we went through almost a full bottle. It was messy but we ate outside on a picnic table with plenty of paper napkins. There were lots of flowers and hanging baskets,... More

Tried it for the first time last year, made sure to come back during this visit to Durango. I understand why the Pulled Pork sandwich is a local fave, it's very good, and large. I've also tried the Brisket sandwich, but found it to be a bit dry for my taste. My choice of side is the Cheesy Potatoes, yum.... More

My wife choose this for dinner aand the food was pretty good. Brisket was a little dry, sausage was great, pulled pork was so-so, and the turkey was heavenly. Pecan was really good. We all played mini golf afterwards and thoroughly loved it. Great night!

We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the BBQ sauce, and the cheesy potatoes. We ordered the pulled pork which was delicious especially with the cherry chipotle salsa which was surprisingly delightful. The ribs were well done but I would have liked to have more seasoning on then. The sauce made up for the dry rub. The brisket was moist and... More

Brisket sandwich was excellent for tenderness and size, not as BBQ-y as I like my flavor. Folksy charm, with picnic tables, serve yourself condiment bar. A fine lunch stop for a decent price (for a tourist area).

We fell in love with this restaurant and both thought the ribs were as good as any we'd ever had! We shared a combo plate with ribs, turkey, brisket, sausage and pulled pork and damn it was all delicious, particularly the succulent, fall-off-the-bone ribs. Yum! The tater salad and pintos (which were more like chili beans) were also tasty. We... More

Texans take BBQ seriously, and BBQ in Texas means smoked brisket. If you can't serve mouth watering, juicy brisket, don't call it "Texas" BBQ. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The turkey was good and had good flavor. Potato salad was good, but the cole slaw was a little off.
