Visited twice in two days for breakfast. Probably the best breakfasts we had during our three week trip to the States. The staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend The Ponderosa.

Restaurant is average; service is good; owners are friendly, nothing outstanding except for chicken fried steak and real mashed potatoes.

The Pondo, as it's known locally, is one of my favorite places for lunch. I love the grilled cheese with green chilis and tomatoes and a side of fries. The food is always good, service is quick and prices are reasonable. It's not fancy, but it is homey. Love this place! xoxo...

It was a Sunday and most places were closed so my friend insisted we go to a sit down restaurant instead of picking up a sandwich somewhere. The floors were filthy as were the bathrooms. The special was fried chicken so I ordered that thinking frying the food would get rid of the germs. It was so overlooked that it... More

Took the family there after staying next door at Delores Mountain Inn for breakfast. Good breakfast for a family.

The food was about as plain Jane as it gets, and the coffee was just awful, tasted like it had been in the pot way to long... I just can't believe the food was so disappointing.....cannot recommend this place..

Average food and average service. The atmosphere is the best part of the restaraunt but the food is nothing to write home about.

Cute, homey, friendly service, great breakfast. The service was great, a good way to start the day before touring San Juan National Forest

We stopped in at the Ponderosa Restaurant about 9:30 AM for breakfast. Decor was of the hunter fisherman variety. The breakfast was not large and we decided to go with the posted special. A Bacon & Cheese Omelet with hash browns & toast, biscuit or pancakes for $7.99. The wait seemed a little long considering there weren't many other customers... More
