All I can say is I miss the old owners. Used to be my favorite place to stop by on the way to go fishing. My most recent experience (and sadly the last experience) was awful. I created a Trip Advisor account just because the experience was so bad. We walked in and did not get the usual friendly vibe.... More

Have been driving by this for years. My son and I stopped on a camping trip. We found the food to be awesome and the staff fast and friendly, no issue paying with a credit card. We liked it so much we stopped on our way back, only better thing would be if they had a cold beer to go... More

first impressions: the lady who introduced herself as the new owner has "bit**" tattooed on her cleavage and there is truth in advertising. the door was open when we walked in and asked if visa was accepted, as we had no cash on hand . we were brusquely told that we should have seen that ourselves by the small sticker... Small little place with big flavor. I tried both the pulled pork and the brisket. I always try my Q without sauce and the brisket was flavorful and moist. The pork had great flavor but was a little dry, so I tried the sauce and it enhanced the flavor. My son had an elk sausage (well ok he had 2)... More

My wife and I have driven past this place many times and thought about trying it but we always timed it wrong. One day we found it open and dropped in around 11:30 for lunch. Smokin Q does mainly BarBque. The building looks large but when you go in the actual area is quite small. They have an order counter... More

I've stopped here a handful of times when in that area of Colorado and every time I've been very pleased. Most recently I had a brisket sandwich was hearty and delicious and worth the money. I sat outside even though it was cold and windy - but with the glassed-in patio fencing it was actually very pleasant. I found the... More

I have driven past this place countless times and it's either closed or I'm hauling a trailer and you simply can't park in their parking lot with a trailer. This time I was in Divide on business so my hubby and I decided to finally give it a try. Sadly, being a windy, cold day, we couldn't sit outside and... More

My husband and I were in Divide, CO last week, it was lunch time and we were hungry - happened upon The Smokin' Q and are we glad we did. It's a wonderfully cute, funky, very small place, there are a counter and some stools inside and a few picnic tables outside. We decided upon the lunch special, a pulled... More

This is a roadside joint. It small, the menu is limited but that's ok because it's mostly just a barbecue sandwich place. Their barbecue is outstanding and it is way better than Rudy's. I haven't noticed any political talk when I was there and never engage in that type of conversation myself. This is a good local place for barbecue.

We tried the smoked trout breakfast taco and the pulled pork breakfast taco, both were fresh and a very large portion for a great price. The trout was fresh and had a lot of flavor. It was worth the wait. The owner was the only one working and she was making your order as you were making it so it... More
